@GingerWildheart@2000trees I've had my bass strap 20 years and am ridiculously attached to it. I had it at my wedding when I played a song with the band. It has a kettle lead holding it together. I need a Dunc.
@benarchibald I prefer to think of it as becoming bicoastal, although what I really want is 2 houses and a helicopter. Also would rather not think about poor Aaliyah who died in a plane crash when my flight's at 3.45!
Are other people supposed to attend the proposal? I just had Semtex, a couple of crows and a dead rabbit in a forest at night. It was very black metal.
My daughter's fiancé asked me not to come to the proposal because he wanted it to be "just the two of them."
I told him I understood.
Then I spent two weeks pretending I was fine.
I wasn't.
Her mother died when she was six. Every school concert, every graduation, every birthday after that, I was the only parent in the audience. I learned how to braid hair from YouTube videos. I sat through dance recitals. I scared away one terrible boyfriend and survived three heartbreaks.
And now the biggest moment of her adult life was about to happen.
Without me.
The day of the proposal, I followed his wishes.
I stayed home.
Around sunset my phone exploded with messages.
Pictures.
Videos.
Voice notes.
Then my daughter called.
She was crying so hard I could barely understand her.
"I'M ENGAGED!"..
@DanielCollins85@ErvineLinda All this talk of weaponisation - it's not that hard to take it back. It was good enough for Gusty. Charles and Camilla ❤️ Gaeilge. It's just as easy to sing the Sash as Gaeilge as to write "tiocfaidh ár lá" on a wall. - probably Manchester's most prominent Methodist Irish teacher
@cassiee1919 "I'm sorry, Master, I will be more humble, I just tried to look nice to please you because I know how lucky I am, my PayPal is xxxxxxxx if you want to pay me back to feel more alpha" then hello block button.
@ErvineLinda It's just a language and you can do what you want with it. Write a poem about Prince Philip. Sing An tSais, like this guy: https://t.co/4tRCpaG8gC. Argue with strident republicans who insist it doesn't belong to you and feel smug at your superior grasp of the modh coinníollach.
I'm so sad to hear this. I saw GosT about 4, maybe 5 times. Last time was at Damnation in Nov and it was a brilliant show. Also, he always messaged me back when I sent him screeching nonsense about set times. Raising a wing 😢
Honoured to have been asked to serve on President Connolly’s Council of State. As a woman born into a working class family in east Belfast, I am proud to have the opportunity to promote good neighbourliness and understanding across the island.
@SageDespatches We did that in 3rd year at my not Catholic but not officially integrated school, so everyone would have done it before people started dropping subjects for GCSE.
