Celebrating Team Uganda’s Outstanding Performance at EAMO 2026

The Uganda Mathematical Society is incredibly proud to officially announce the results of our home team at the 4th edition of the East Africa Mathematical Olympiad.
Our young mathematicians truly gave it their all, bringing home an impressive haul of 1 Gold, 1 Silver, and 4 Bronze medals.

And that’s a wrap on the 4th edition of the Eastern Africa Mathematics Olympiad (EAMO)!

Today, we officially concluded an incredible three days of intense competition, collaboration, and brilliant problem-solving with our closing ceremony. It has been an honor to see the absolute best young mathematical minds from across ten nations come together here at Makerere University.

A massive congratulations to Kenya, who emerged as the overall best-performing country in this year's competition! Your hard work, sharp analytical skills, and dedication truly shone through.

Every single participant walked away a champion today. We were thrilled to celebrate their achievements as students received their well-earned certificates and prizes during the closing celebrations.

This monumental regional event would not have been possible without the immense support of our partners. We extend our deepest gratitude to our primary sponsor, the @GlobTalent , for their unwavering commitment to nurturing young talent and advancing STEM excellence across East Africa.
