What you’re saying isn’t wrong, but that energy also has to be at home too. The colonizer energy comes from advocating ONLY for this, and nothing else bc ur favs are enlisting.
Where is this energy for what’s happening at home? Or for all of the other countries going through human rights violations. Every single country is going through a different kind of human rights violation, but why is this the only time they bring it up?
And that, that is where my issue is, and where you no longer become an activist but a colonizer pushing your agenda. If you’re going to complain about enlistment (politics) and refuse to engage in any other form of politics, that’s a problem. Bc it doesn’t read as you actually caring about human rights violations, it reads as you ONLY caring bc you learned about a band, learned about enlistment and now here we are.
its not even the fact they’ll be on hiatus for a long time bc of enlistment, its the fact they’re gonna forced in a extremely toxic and traumatic environment and for what?
It’s the fact that I see this take countless times, yet can’t see anything on their own countries politics on their page
If you’re going to engage in politics, you don’t get to pick and choose which country you’re going to argue with. If you’re not willing to engage with politics in your own area, then no, I don’t want to see your takes about a different race/country.
That’s just my opinion, and I understand if you don’t agree/no longer wish to be moots bc of it
Absolutely not
What I’m saying is there’s a lot of takes about it without actually understanding it in detail.
In looking at this as someone whose island is currently without power in cities still and water being owned by America and seeing what it does
I understand the negative I also understand the why. I don’t agree but it’s also
Not my place to speak on it. I wasn’t born and raised in sk, however I know what it’s like to live with your oppressors next door
There is layers and neuance but basically I do not agree with people who aren’t Korean/don’t live in sk spreading rhetoric that isn’t theirs to spread.
People are asking “why was punisher in the movie” meanwhile, it’s entirely realistic that New York’s vigilantes will absolutely randomly run into each other. If anything, it’s unrealistic when other heroes in New York *don’t* show up
Can we talk about how Disney also did this with Ncuti on Doctor Who?
Can we actually address how the Disney company has sidelined all POC characters and women bc of maga
Because yall, this goes so much deeper than marvel. Their parent company is eradicating almost all the POC’s from media.
@SnatchdSiren I was an Andrew girlie for so long but I agree, Tom was incredible. I always knew he had it in him, I was always so sad they made him a knock off miles but this???
This, this was Peter Parker and this was all I wanted.
