@HamzaD86 May not be prime maldini but don’t see how Burn or Quansah offer you more as a squad option in a World Cup.
Guehi, Konsa and Stones will be the first 3 choices. But experience counts for a lot. If he’s taking Henderson for that leadership then would make sense to have Maguire
The traditional language of what's now England was Celtic. The English language developed with years of European immigration.
The traditional religion was paganism. Christianity came from the middle east.
Saint George was Palestinian/Turkish.
England itself means land of the Angles, a Germanic tribe.
England is multiculturalism.
@UTDPatron I’ve met him. I know some people who know him. In terms of the brand deals and money he’s made off it, anyone in that situation is going to make the most of it. It was a good natured thing that has become massive due to how shit the team has been for so long.
@niamhmdunphy@Scaife51 Fa cup final was a sit deep and counter attack performance. We still had to defend for long periods.
Yesterday was a dominating performance. City hardly had a chance. Can’t remember the last complete 90min performance like that against a good team
@stephenjfitz@mufcMPB I’m not saying he’s not a good player. I just think even for England he was essentially behind Mainoo for that role at the last Euros. I think Mainoo can offer just as much if not more, and I’d personally rather spend on someone with a different skillset.
@stephenjfitz@mufcMPB Personally, if we are to play a 4231 system to allow Bruno to play as a 10 then I don’t see Gallagher as an answer to playing as one of the 2 deeper midfielders. So it’s essentially a waste of what little money we have. He’s similar to Mount just with a better injury record
@stephenjfitz@mufcMPB As poor as Ugarte is, I don’t think Gallagher was the answer. He’s a box to box player and someone who arrives late in to the box. A poor man’s McTominay so to speak. We need midfield control and ball progression. I’d rather go get Hackney or Garner
@stephenjfitz I think the problem is that they’ve all got egos that will prevent them from admitting they’ve made a mistake or that they are new to this sport.
@stephenjfitz Yeh I’m just hoping that with players back from injury and AFCON, the fact we don’t have Europe should allow us to just about sneak in to 5th at the very least.
@stephenjfitz Personally I don’t think top 5 is that tough. We aren’t in Europe and the quality of the league is so poor. We’ve dropped 6 points in the last 3 games and yet no one has really pulled away. We just need to find form and put a run together and I think we would get top 5
@HamzaD86 Yep. As soon as Bruno went off the game changed. Him in the 10 and with players around him making runs. That is our best chance of any success
@stephenjfitz Yeh I’m not quite sure why Cunha went off tbh. It’s a poor result but at least we made positive changes to try and win the game rather than bring on 3 new CBs and Malacia.
@stephenjfitz He at least makes good runs, can hold up the ball and link play and can be good in the air. He’s shown much more so far compared to hojlund or zirkzee. Ideally he would’ve been behind a more experienced striker and had time to learn his trade.
@stephenjfitz He’s young but he has a lot of raw potential. Def needs to improve his attitude and persona. But I genuinely think with the right system and service around him he will do much better
