Poor governance has created an environment where people like Peller and Carter evolve into internet phenomena because, for many, the digital economy feels more accessible than the traditional one.

Imagine being smart, hardworking, and ambitious, only to run headfirst into the reality of the Nigerian job market. What alternatives do people realistically have?
There are people here who make more money from tweets!!! Than their office job😂

Long term, I feel like platforms need to intentionally create more room for content that is genuinely useful, even if it isn’t the loudest thing on the timeline. TikTok’s STEM feed is proof that this can be done💜

At 19, Snapchat paid me $6,000 to create an augmented reality experience. That opportunity led to building multiple AR lenses and collaborating with Meta, musicians, and globally recognized brands on immersive projects.

Eventually, I had to choose between AR and medicine, and my Nigerian mother made sure that decision was crystal clear. 😅

Even so, I’ve never stopped believing in the power of technology. People who build with passion have the ability to change not only their own lives, but the world around them.

I can’t wait to share that journey and speak with these incredible young men today. 🦾💜
