This is a Sanatan Dharma song from the 1960s, sung by the legendary Lata Mangeshkar, fondly known as the Nightingale of India. It is said that the song was banned during the tenure of then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. Do you know why?

The claim is that this song represents a Hindu Sanatan tradition and was seen as supportive of the ideological roots associated with RSS thinkers something the Congress establishment strongly opposed at the time.

What is even more surprising is that when this beautiful song of Sanatan patriotism was played on the radio, efforts were allegedly made to ensure it never appeared on television. Over time, it faded from public platforms.

Somehow, the song resurfaced among Sanatanis and has now gone viral.
