@SVPhillimore The name Mermaids will join Thalidomide, Rachman, Savile et al as another dark example of avoidable scandals that took long to be dealt with, and it won't be for the lack of voices calling them out.
@karamantha @DoRinky @Mermaids_Gender And surprisingly accurate. Both are promoters of child abuse, and both deserve prison.
If I put an ethics request in for what @Mermaids_Gender do, I would likely lose my job and there is a 0% chance it would be approved.
@JamesBarry1789 @Sexisanobjecti1 We need a Petition on the Government website calling for a public enquiry into Mermaids and the Tavistock.
Wouldn't it be interesting to get to 100,000 signatures and see it debated in parliament?
@GilmoreJNurse @helenstaniland @DubarryMme You are a nurse? Really? And you somehow passed training and are allowed to practice? With that level of understanding?
Gods help us all.
@MsSweetTD@uk_scientist@gracepetrie@JustinWelby Scientific fact is not about inclusion and feelings. The earth is round, we will all die and trans women are men. All facts we can't hide from.
@MsSweetTD@NhsWoman@gracepetrie@JustinWelby I am a cancer researcher who thinks it is important accurate language is used. Every Trans Man knows that they are, biologically, a Woman. Health records should show that they are a woman and they will therefore be invited for a smear test.
@ms_vyvyan @NhsWoman@gracepetrie@JustinWelby Biologically you are a women.
Only Women have cervixes. That is a fact of nature, whatever your experiences and is in no way transphobic.
@MsSweetTD@NhsWoman@gracepetrie@JustinWelby Then those Trans men need to say that they are Women (Trans Men) and they will get the smear test. Problem solved.
Only Women (including Trans Men) have cervixes, and to pretend otherwise is idiotic.
@MargaretOfAnj @Blomshellll @intersexfacts@Zarazosa @millennial_tom @mozartmant @Sophia08069021 @IsMiseAaron@Hmatt844@EmmaWatson I am a cancer researcher and my PhD is in oncology, and i never cease to be amazed at how some people misunderstand/misrepresent science to suit an ideology
I’m pro trans rights.
I fail to see how they are advanced by a man (re)designating what constitutes a woman.

There’s no ‘crusading’ here.
@NECReSisters@VelindreTrust It’s staggering that they cannot see the damage this does to women in science. How in hell will this inspire kids to see female scientists as equal to male scientists?
@BreannaTrans @WilliamShatner What you mean to say is that if you were born male, you are a man. What you do after that is another issue, but the term "cis" is not required.
@CamThiessen23@WilliamShatner It is derogatory because it is unnecessary. A "Cis-Man" is a Man. A "Cis-Woman" is a Woman. Therefore the Cis- part is redundant.
