Azerbaijan's President arrives in Beijing for state visit
Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Beijing on Tuesday night. His state visit to China will last from April 22 to 24.#ChinaDiplomacy#China#Azerbaijan#FrontlineBreaking
#China-#Azerbaijan relations are an example of a strategic partnership led by the heads of state, thus the visit of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev is poised to strengthen cooperation between the two nations, with a focus on connectivity, green energy, tourism and other key areas, according to Chinese experts. They emphasized Aliyev's trip to China underscores the attractiveness of China's commitment to free trade and win-win cooperation, especially in light of the uncertainties created by the weaponization of tariffs by certain countries. https://t.co/QdRHaqNu9J
We can’t be certain, but it’s likely that the Azerbaijan Airlines flight was hit by shrapnel from a 🇷🇺 air defence system as it was in the vicinity of Grozny. There might have been a 🇺🇦 drone attack in the area as well. Crew made heroic attempt to save situation before the crash.
1) russia fired a missile at the plane
2) pilots requested immediate emergency landing
3) russia denied them permission to land
4) pilots then tried to fly Kazakhstan
5) russia then jammed the plane's GPS over the sea make it crash into the sea!
MURDER!!

I regret that @POLITICOEurope instead of apologizing to Azerbaijan and retracting its fake news article, continues to spread disinformation to mislead the European and global public.
Meanwhile, in the article of Politico there is a reference to Azerbaijani media that official data showing that “Azerbaijan imported 141.6 million cubic meters of gas from Russia this year”
The fact you referred to is a swap operation, not an import. Such seasonal exchanges occur between neighboring states and this is normal. I regret that the article fails to differentiate between swap and import.
“The Southern Gas Corridor, which supplies EU markets, is only connected to Azerbaijani gas fields, not to the broader Azerbaijani natural gas system,” said Tim McPhie, the European Commission’s spokesperson on energy affairs.
The EU official’s statement is entirely accurate, and we are fully aligned with that.
Therefore, Azerbaijan did not import any gas from Russia in 2024. Period!
Politico is unsuccessfully searching for a black cat in a dark room while knowing that the cat is not there. There is a fitting Azerbaijani proverb: “A liar has to be chased to the end.” @politico
Recently liberated from Armenia’s military occupation Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur regions of Azerbaijan have been declared net zero and green energy zones. 30 year long military occupation inflicted serious damage to the entire ecosystem of the region. If not Armenia’s military occupation Azerbaijan would have achieved even far better green energy goals and objectives. #COP29 #COP29Azerbaijan
With the announcement of today’s COP29 Energy Initiatives, COP29 President Mukhtar Babayev called on all Party and non-Party stakeholders to endorse these pivotal steps in advancing our collective climate goals.

Great to be back in Baku for #COP29. Ready to discuss policies that are need to raise mitigation ambitions and enable climate action, including to narrow the climate finance gap. Our 191 member countries share the same planet. What affects one of us affects all of us.
