This is almost complete nonsense from start to finish. If you are concerned about a tongue tie, talk to your child’s pediatrician or family doctor. https://t.co/cHw0vyyttS
One of our incredibly talented Badass #FedIsBest mamas,
created several fantastic cartoon masterpieces to help us celebrate our second anniversary! #MentalHealthMatters
@BernieSaysThis Absolutely - parents should be able to get support tailored to their needs and preferences from people enthusiastic about supporting them and their family rather than any one feeding method!
I share this because I am of the mindset that #fedisbest . NO parent should be told there is a right or wrong way to feed their child. Getting milk in their belly is the best thing EVER, whether it’s formula or boobie juice. #stopshaming#feedyourbaby
At #fedisbest, we believe parents have the rational capacity to make the best informed choices for their unique family situation. We don't need to debate what is "best" for you; it's not up to us. Between clinically safe feeding methods, true support means #individualizedcare
Just discovered old article from some site shaming bottle feeding mums called La Leche. I still can’t see a single comment of mine quoted in it that is not correct, measured, or reasonable. Time they took it down and admitted their overzealous bullshit does more harm than good!
@PNDandMe @cathode_blue It's not as inevitable now I believe. Organisations and movements like #fedisbest#dontjudgejustfeed#isupportyou are gaining momentum. I too had pnd linked to unexpectedly being unable to breastfeed 4 years ago.
@ldnewbie1974 @Laurenychapman9 @SianieRoo @sarahjchapman@nerdmomglitter@sqfood My personal favourite from Dr Spock
“All parents do their best job when they have a natural, easy confidence in themselves. Better to make a few mistakes from being natural than to try to do everything letter-perfect out of a feeling of worry.”
@ldnewbie1974 @Laurenychapman9 @SianieRoo @sarahjchapman@nerdmomglitter@sqfood And he’s so good... have some more
“The more people have studied different methods of bringing up children the more they have come to the conclusion that what good mothers and fathers instinctively feel like doing for their babies is usually best after all.”
@ldnewbie1974 @Laurenychapman9 @SianieRoo @sarahjchapman@nerdmomglitter@sqfood Actually have some more Dr Spock
“Don't take too seriously all that the neighbors say. Don't be overawed by what the experts say. Don't be afraid to trust your own common sense.”
