Keratoconus is a disease of the cornea (front of the eye) characterised with gradual thinning and a cone shaped bulging. It cannot be corrected with ordinary spectacles and it is best treated with speciality scleral contact lenses.
These wide angle retinal images images show a retinal detachment on the left eye. If a patient announces a sudden onset of flashes and floaters in one eye, they should urgently visit a clinic to get a retinal images taken.
