All tax then paid at source and avoids tax avoidance and the cost of administration for all other taxes.
Also fairer as the rich who spend more will pay more and the poorest who spend less will pay less

I think as a country we all have compassion for genuine refugees however how many economic migrants come to the UK and work on the black market and live in government funded hotels and HMOs.
In an area close to me the council purchased 3 houses on the open market at full value and converted them into HMOS which now house migrants.
Council housing and housing association stock should be for British residents only and migrants with an active claim should be given single person housing benefit and made to rent on the open market only at the single person benefit rate only.
