π Serhii Koretskyi is the new Prime Minister of Ukraine. His candidacy was appoved with 289 votes "for".
Chair of the state oil and gas company, Koretskyi will be preparing Ukraine for "a very hard winter", as well new foreign policy, acccording to the president Zelenskyi.
According to the Ukrainian Pravda, the President and his party are currently looking into four candidates to replace PM Svydyrenko:
- former PM Denys Shmyhal
- defence minister Mykhailo Fedorov
- Naftogaz chairman Serhii Koretskyi
- and Mayor of Kharkiv Ihor Terekhov
βοΈ President Zelenskyi has announced the update of the government, including a new Prime Minister and other changes in the cabinet composition.
Changes are a pary of the new political strategy announced by Zelenskyi earlier this week.
π At the same time, when asked about the parliamentary parties, Sociopolis poll shows a big lead for the YeS, followed by SN. At the same, another thing that comes as a surprise is the good showing for the pro-Russian OPZZh successor parties.

Important to mention, that obviously, these polls are extremely hypothetical, and these parties may very well never exist.
π First Deputy Chairman of Verkhovna Rada, Oleksandr Korniienko, was elected the leader of the Servant of the People today, SN's Rada faction leader, Davyd Arakhamiia said.
Korniienko had already been a leader in 2019β2021, but resigned to become the First Deputy Speaker.
βοΈ Chairman of the Humanitarian and Information Policy Committee released a statement from the "representatives of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction", which calls for immediate talks with all parliamentary factions to form the "Coalition of National Resilience".
βοΈ Verkhovna Rada has also voted to dismiss the incumbent Minister of Energy, Svitlana Hrynchuk (IND), with 315 votes "for".
She also was one of the main figures of the Operation Midas case, alongside Halushchenko, Timur Mindich and others.

βοΈ European Solidarity and Holos both are calling for the government to resign, and to form a national unity government.
The call comes after the Operation Midas by NABU and SAP, revealing corruption within the government, and influence of certain people on the ministers.
Effectively, this means the suspension of Trukhanov's term as the Mayor of Odesa, and transfer of power to the Secretary of the City Council, currently occupied by the Ihor Koval (SN).
Trukhanov is able to appeal the presidential decree in court.
βοΈ President Zelenskyi has stripped Mayor of Odesa Hennadii Trukhanov of his Ukrainian citizenship after citizens petition asking President to do that has gotten 25k signatures.
This move follows a recent journalist investigation into Trukhanov's possible Russian citizenship.
π―οΈ Former Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada (2016β19), Andrii Parubii (YeS), was killed today in Lviv. He was shot up to seven times, dying immediately.
β Our Land has announced its dissolution after Supreme Court resumed its activities. The party says it approved the decision on its 40th Congress, due to the "critical reputational damage" NKr has suffered.
βοΈ Supreme Court has satisfied the appeal of the Our Land party, and cancelled the resolution of the Eighth Administrative Court of Appeal to ban the party.
Our Land in the statement pointed out that accusations of the party being pro-Russian were and still are baseless.
β Earlier today, during the Verkhovna Rada session on the #12414 law reversal, deputy from the Servant of the People, Dmytro Kostiuk has announced that he is leaving the parliamentary faction, but remains "a part of the presidential team".
Previously, Kostiuk voted for the law.
β€οΈ Unaffiliated MP Liudmyla Buimister has joined the Batkivshchyna faction, increasing B's parliamentary seats to 25 deputies.
Previously, she was elected from the Servant of the People's list and was expelled from the faction in 2021 for voting against the "de-oligarchy" law.
βοΈ As the Verkhovna Rada voted to appoint Denys Shmyhal as the new Minister of Defence, the government "reshuffle" is officially complete.
Overall, only three new ministers have joined the govt, with others maintaining their positions or being appointed to different ministries.
π€ President Zelenskyi appointed now-former Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Justice, Olha Stefanishyna (SN), as the special presidential envoy in the United States.
The position will be temporary "while all the necessary procedures for approving her candidacy are underway".
Obviously, no one can and will not dissolve Verkhovna Rada, but the ever-decreasing number of both SN and total deputies in the Rada could result in a dangerous unconstitutional limbo.
π¬ Although officially Servant of the People is a one-party coalition with 231 MPs, 6 more than required for a minimal majority, in this and most votes in recent months, SN is unable to provide a full majority on its own, having to rely on former OPZZh members and independents.
βοΈ Verkhovna Rada appointed Yulia Svyrydenko (IND) as the 19th Prime Minister of Ukraine. A second woman in the position, Svyrydenko will lead the third government during Zelenskyi's presidency.
Later today, Verkhovna Rada will also vote on the new government proposed by the PM.
Previously, in 2019, this exact situation resulted in the then President-elect Zelenskyi dissolving Verkhovna Rada during his inauguration speech, arguing that the present coalition of BPP and People's Front had no majority.
