Honoured to be working with the Indigenous Leadership Circle in Research, Indigenous communities, students, researchers, partners and colleagues on a shared path to building new models for Indigenous research and training in our commitment to Reconciliation.
The Indigenous Leadership Circle in Research held their first in-person meeting, with ceremony, at University nuhelot’įne thaiyots’į nistameyimâkanak Blue Quills, and met with grad students and community members.
We welcomed in our opening plenary @JoannaDunster (AHRC), Heidi van Rooyen (HSRC) and @ulacan1 (SSHRC), who have shared their national realities in fostering interdisciplinary SSHA collaboration for impact while generating trust and interest in society.

It is with deep sadness that we learned of the passing of our dear friend and former colleague Brent Herbert-Copley—SSHRC VP, Research Programs, 2009-2015; EVP 2015- 2021. Our sincere condolences to Brent’s family at this difficult time. (1/2)
