THIS IS WHY WE LOVE AFGHANISTAN 🇮🇳❤️🇦🇫
After the final T20I, an Afghanistan fan was seen picking up garbage left behind by fans in the stands. 🥺
No cameras. No attention. Just a beautiful gesture of respect and responsibility. 🫡
ABSOLUTELY WHOLESOME. ❤️

On this Mother’s Day, let’s all remember that economy is the foundation of real freedom; a woman who can earn with dignity can stand on her own with dignity and that no true freedom can exist alongside poverty.
Afghans in diaspora and friends of Afghan women should know that nothing supports Afghan #women more than buying what they produce locally, like the #Wakhjir in #Kabul, that I randomly found on Instagram. They sell handmade items crafted by #Afghan women. This is how Afghan women gain independence, not through charity, but through opportunity. Buying from women goes directly to the #women you want to help, not the system.
Happy Mother’s Day y’all!

"According to preliminary statistics, so far more than 250 addicts under treatment have been killed and hundreds of others have been injured."
@TOLOnews journalist @BahraamHamid tells me his colleagues saw "bodies everywhere" at the Kabul rehabilitation hospital which was hit by Pakistani airstrikes, according to Taliban officials.
The victims were drug addicts who had been brought for treatment.

Statement by the International Human Rights Foundation (IHRF)
The International Human Rights Foundation strongly condemns the reported bombardment by Pakistan of a rehabilitation hospital in Kabul, Afghanistan treating drug addicts, an attack that has reportedly killed a large number of vulnerable patients seeking medical care and recovery.
Facilities dedicated to treatment, rehabilitation, and humanitarian care must never become targets in any conflict or security operation. Patients in such institutions are among the most vulnerable members of society — individuals who came seeking help, dignity, and a chance to rebuild their lives.
We are deeply disturbed by reports that many of the victims were unarmed civilians undergoing treatment.
The International Human Rights Foundation calls for:
• An independent international investigation into this incident
• Accountability for those responsible
• Immediate measures to ensure the protection of medical and rehabilitation facilities
Attacks on medical institutions violate the most basic principles of international humanitarian law and human rights norms.
The world must not remain silent when places of healing are turned into sites of tragedy.
