The Center for American Progress called it the largest transfer of wealth from the poor to the rich in a single law in U.S. history.

His 2026 budget goes further. It slashes the WIC fruit and vegetable benefit for breastfeeding mothers from $54 to $13. It freezes new Section 8 housing vouchers. It cuts LIHEAP, the program that keeps grandma's heat on in January.

Working moms will have to prove they "deserve" groceries. Disabled Americans will have to re-prove they need healthcare every six months. Rural hospitals will shut their doors.

And then Trump boards a plane with the richest man on the planet and personally lobbies China to open markets so Musk can sell more Teslas in Shanghai.

This is not policy. This is not "America First." This is a President working as a personal concierge for oligarchs while stripping food off the tables of American children to pay for it.

Next time someone asks who Trump is fighting for, show them that picture from the tarmac.

The argument that "data centers bring billions to local economies" is pure hogwash.

The construction crews aren't even local.

And once the data centers are running, they steal the local water, they strain local power grids, they pollute the air, they generate noise pollution, heat pollution and water pollution, and they don't produce anything at all that the local community actually needs.

They just produce "compute" for corporations or governments, for the most part, that are building a total police state surveillance grid and AI autonomous weapon systems / killbots / terminators.

There is ZERO net benefit to local communities. In fact, data centers are "death centers" or, as I say, the land-based versions of Death Stars.

They should build data centers in orbit or deserts far from human populations.

Data centers are the leading cause of a 76% increase in the cost of electricity for America's largest power grid over just the first 3 months of this year, according to Bloomberg.

The 13-state grid managed by PJM serves 67 million people, and costs have spiked this year.

This time last year the cost of electricity on this grid was $77.78 per megawatt-hour. Now that cost has almost doubled to $136.53 per megawatt-hour.

Bloomberg attributes that skyrocketing cost to the "booming demand from artificial intelligence data centers, which require vast amounts of energy and are putting a significant burden on America’s aging power grids."

You're right, but let me expose this even further.

Trump just admitted China voluntarily walked away from Nvidia. Not because of sanctions. Not because of a ban. Because they don't need US chips anymore.

That's the nightmare Washington refused to say out loud. The entire strategy of chip sanctions was built on a bet that China could never close the gap. That bet failed. Billions in domestic R&D, years of pressure from US bans, and now China has its own alternatives.

Trump's words say it all: "They want to develop their own." That's not tough talk. That's resignation.

The US no longer has a bargaining card. You can't threaten to cut someone off when they've already built their own supply. And once China starts supplying the rest of the world with cheaper chips, the entire architecture of American tech hegemony collapses.

The main card is gone. Now watch Washington panic.
