A Cuba la están afixiando, imaginen dormir y despertar y no tener electricidad; hay familias en Cuba que viven más de 100 horas sin corriente. Imagina a tu abuela sin la medicina que necesita, porque está atrapada a pocas millas de la costa, dentro de uno de los más de 7.000 contenedores varados en puertos del Caribe, porque una naviera tiene miedo de que Washington la sancione.

Esos contenedores no son mercancía cualquiera. Son medicinas que salvan vidas. Son piezas para la industria eléctrica y para llevar agua potable a millones de hogares. Son el repuesto que un pequeño negocio en mi país, que lo necesita para no cerrar.

Y mientras esperan, varados, el pueblo paga el precio. Actualmente hay 25 mil trabajadores del turismo que se quedaron sin trabajo porque el 73% de los hoteles están cerrados, con familias enteras que dependían de ellos para vivir.

Es un pueblo asfixiado, poco a poco, en silencio, mientras el mundo mira para otro lado.

Este es el mismo pueblo que mandó a sus médicos a salvar vidas ajenas cuando nadie más quiso ir. El que compartió lo poco que tenía sin pedir nada a cambio. Hoy nadie va a salvarlo a él?

En Gaza el mundo escucha las bombas. En Cuba no se escucha nada, y ese silencio también mata. Contra mi país Estados Unidos está cometiendo un genoc¡dio.

No mires para otro lado. Alza la voz. Cuba te necesita ahora, mañana quizás sea demasiado tarde!

Decir que Noboa es “un segundo Correa” es una forma bastante cómoda de vaciar la historia de contenido. Correa @MashiRafael fue un líder descomunal, con una capacidad política, retórica y administrativa que sus adversarios, aun odiándolo, nunca pudieron negar. Fue elocuente, carismático, con sentido de Estado, y dejó una obra pública que no tiene comparación en la historia republicana reciente.

Lo que ocurre es que a los poderes fácticos, a las corporaciones, a los apellidos "impronunciables" que durante décadas confundieron el país con su hacienda privada, Correa les pareció “dictador” porque, por primera vez en mucho tiempo, alguien se atrevió a decirles que también estaban sometidos a la Constitución y a la ley. La “dictadura”, para ciertos sectores, empieza exactamente el día en que pierden el privilegio de mandar sin rendir cuentas.

Noboa, en cambio, no ha construido una sola obra que marque época, no ha levantado un proyecto nacional, no ha producido una idea de país. Su dureza no se ejerce contra los poderosos, sino contra los débiles. No disciplina a las élites, atropella al ciudadano común. No enfrenta a los dueños históricos del país sino que gobierna para ellos.

Así que no, Noboa no es un segundo Correa. Esa comparación le queda inmensa. Correa chocó con los poderosos; Noboa pisa a los indefensos. Y esa diferencia, aunque algunos finjan no verla, es toda la diferencia entre el liderazgo y la simple prepotencia y arbitrariedad.
