@HarryStebbings what’s your take on the very common yet sticky situation in which there is a super talented technical founder who has taken the company to a great place (C-round?) but the company needs a real operator to take them to the next level. How is that supposed to work?
@rasbt Do you do graph feature extraction? JPMC saw huge uplift on their ML models for fraud detection by incorporating graph features to their dataset. My company won an award it was so effective.
@theandreboso Founders tend to think their product will sell itself, and also that no deal is priced high enough. If you have a differentiated product with unique value, you still may not be able to charge more than the incumbent. The cost of switching to your product can be high.
@Edwindoit@agazdecki Disagree respectfully. This is a misconception a lot of great technical founders have. They think their brilliant product will sell itself. Unless it’s a simple point solution (vs enterprise tech) it won’t just sell. The sales process is complex, you need experienced pros.
