I truly do not believe that time has ever witnessed, or will ever witness, a stage quite like this. Over 250,000 human beings gathered simply for a kilogram of flour or less, just to stave off their hunger and the hunger of their children. Instead of being in our homes preparing the finest food for our children and laughing with them, we were literally walking into death. Today, an Israeli soldier might choose to kill you, or perhaps not; if not you, then your friend, your brother, your father, or your cousin. To this day, the scene of running after aid trucks continues to pierce my very mind and bone—some trampled beneath the trucks, others sniped in the head, and others suffocating to death. All of this for the most basic human right in history: food.

Fuck this world that watched us die right before its eyes and allowed despicable Israel to do this, and continues to allow it to this day.
