#7. People will judge you no matter what you do.
Succeed? You're arrogant.
Fail? You're incompetent.
Stay quiet? You're boring.
Speak up? You're attention-seeking.
So do what YOU want. They're judging anyway.
#2. Stop explaining yourself to people who are committed to misunderstanding you.
You could have a PowerPoint, data, witnesses.
They'll still twist your words.
Your energy is finite. Spend it on people who listen, not people who've already decided who you are.
my only want for myself in 2026 is not to waste away. years are going by too quickly, and now that i’m an adult it’s terrifyingly easy to slip into stagnation and do nothing for long stretches of time. comfort is so dangerous; it steals years before you even realise they’re gone.
@onlyyagirl_ Oh it was comprehensible to me alright :( I remember hating my birthday and xmas even though I got presents, but I would cry after because none of them were things I ever wanted or even liked. And I used to hate myself and think I was this insanely spoiled brat bc of it too
i need to walk again. i need to take photos again. i need to read again. i need to journal again. i need to watch movies again. but most importantly i need to stop losing myself.
