The being’s strange movements are unpredictable and unsettling, but I can’t look away. I don’t know what they’re doing, but something about the way they move unnerves me. Those long things below — the ones they use to move — flex and stretch in a way I don’t understand. I feel scared, yet fascinated at the same time. They spin, jump, as if trying to escape from something invisible. There’s something about their imbalance that makes me nervous, but I can’t stop watching.
That noise, that vibration in the air accompanying their movements, seems to control them. As I watch them move, I’m torn. Part of me wants to leap, bite them, but another part tells me I should submit, that something in this chaos might overwhelm me. I don’t know if I should attack or retreat. My mind is torn, what I use to bite is ready, but uncertainty keeps me still.
Is this dancing?

During the summer of 2023, @ulyss3s_solo used artificial intelligence tools to create a dystopian documentary inspired by “The War of the Worlds.” The purpose of this project was to explore both the fear and fascination we feel towards the unknown.
