I'm still so perplexed with Tuchel's choices last night.
Why did he take off Gordon instead of Rogers? Not only does Gordon have way more pace, which would have been great on the counter - but the partnership he had with Spence was destroying that Argentine right hand side.
Why did we go 5 at the back with SO LONG left in a game we were reasonably comfortable in?
Why did we go 6 at the back when they made it 1-1?
Like I just can't fathom these schoolboy tactical errors.
Thomas Tuchel relied on Bellingham & Kane moments of brilliance to get to the SFs but criticised the players for their performance
Thomas Tuchel said Southgate’s team were more scared to lose than excited to win but played 6 defenders & 11 men behind the ball for 30 mins
Just look how Spain played yesterday against France. Could’ve sat back when they scored but they didn’t, they carried on playing their football and scored again. England sitting back and playing like cowards has knocked us out the World Cup. Can’t be bothered
Lost for words really. That was in our hands. Momentum should’ve been ours after Gordon’s goal. Tuchel’s subs all wrong. Can do that against Mexico, not Argentina.
Absolutely gutted.
