I recall years ago visiting Sh. Ubaid (may Allah have mercy on him), and someone knocked at his door with an envelope. The Shaykh asked me to open it and see what it was. I did so and mentioned that there were documents prepared in defense of Faaleh al-Harbi. Sh. Ubaid immediately said:

Mustafa, when you leave, throw those papers in the trash can outside!!!

A number of scholars have been warning against the harm & discord spread by Abu Iyaad Amjad Rafiq of SalafiPublications (UK) for years. May Allah be kind to us & him, rectify our affairs & his, & guide us & him.

Some of them have done so by broad generalities in their advice, hoping he would take heed & rectify himself. Others sent advice directly or through trusted advisors. Some were more stern & direct, like the great scholar of al-Madeenah, Shaykh 'Abdullah al-Bukhary (may Allah protect & preserve him), who said:

"...In every crisis, whether it be religious or worldly, there are those who thrive in its ruins & profit from it..."

"...[He] wants to be known for opposition & resistance, and that he is the concerned one with intellect...

"...They speak ill of the people of knowledge, understanding & investigation..."

"...They claim that the people of knowledge do not understand the situation, that they do not know, & they only give verdicts based on what is said to them! What is the difference between you & ‘Amr ibn ‘Ubayd, the Mu’tazilee, when he said about Ibn Seereen & al-Hasan that they were scholars of [women’s menstrual] pads? What is the difference!?..."

"...He lives among the polytheists, while he accuses the people of towheed of falling into polytheism!?..."

However much apprehension you may have regarding this issue, these statements here are accurate & hit the nail on the head. May Allah bless Shaykh 'Abdullah for these words of concern and warning against evil.

Since there has been no hint of any desire for rectification (rather quite the opposite), we openly warn against Amjad & the harm he continues to cause, seeking the pleasure of Allah, without any fear of blame, without any concern for frustrated trolls or deeply offended blind followers. We stand with the Book & the Sunnah, with our scholars who teach and clarify, in solidarity behind them, as we always do. May Allah keep us firm.

May Allah reward our scholars for their sincere advice & warnings; may He allow us to benefit from that & stay safe from disgrace, harm & discord.

دخلت على شيخنا العلامة عبد الله البخاري بُعيد كورونا فوجدته غاضبا على رجل يدعى أمجد و ما سببه من تفرقة في المالديف و إندونسيا فما عرفته إلا بكنيته ثم قلت له شيخنا هذا رجل له جهود و يقولون متخصص في هذه المواضيع و حاولنا تهدئة الوضع حفاظا على دعوتهم المباركة التي بنوها لعقود و حب أكابرنا لهم فقال الشيخ بحكمة و بصيرة الوالد:

إن كان خبيرا في الجوائح فليكتب رأيه و بحثته و يرسله إلى من ولّاهم ا��له علينا و إلى وزارات الصحة و يكون قد أدى الذي عليه أما هذا التشويش العلني فلا يكون إلا من دسيسة.

استبعدت كلام والدنا الشيخ عبد الله و كتمته مع محاولة النصح لأحبت��ا في برمنجهام لكن التجاوزات بعد ذلك و تمكين مجاهيل من مصر -مثلا- أثبت أن الشيخ المحدث يتكلم بفراسة النقاد الصيارفة هدانا الله جميعا.

The current movement back to anonymous screen names & burner accounts on social media must be viewed as part of a larger theme of backtracking & cowardice witnessed from a people who had previously been blessed with clarity, humble cooperation & leading roles in returning matters to the scholars at one time. May Allah rectify their affairs.

Such people are actually reviving the filth of AYHAorg & other forums of chaotic slander that Allah had saved us from so many years ago, when we held fast to the specific insight of our scholars who asked us to implement THIS advice, directly & specifically, in our online forums:

We saw tremendous benefit, almost IMMEDIATELY, when our brothers at Sahab & SalafiTalk implemented this advice, as Shaykh 'Ubayd said (may Allah have Mercy on him):

Fitnah was subdued.
Knowledge & clarity spread.
A sense of responsibility & accountability increased.
The people of knowledge were given their right places. Knowledge literally shined & prevailed!

But today -Allah al-Musta'aan- we see shameful backtracking from people who know better! Back to hiding behind burner accounts & anonymous trolling to vent their frustrations!

I guess since they have ruined themselves in disgrace & show no ambition towards rectification, they do not mind trying to burn down the da'wah they used to serve & further ruin more of their own efforts on their way out. May Allah save us from their evil.
