The following is a complete translation of a detailed two-part essay on the current situation in Gaza, Palestine, written by esteemed author and long-time Aljazeera journalist, presenter, and host Ahmed Mansour @amansouraja. He has written more than 20 books in Arabic, including:

Hamas’ plan to defeat Israel

Without explanation or introductions, this summarizes what I reached through following the Al-Aqsa Flood Battle since its beginning. In a previous article, I presented Israel’s plan in Gaza. Today, I offer Hamas’ plan to complete victory over Israel:

First: Hamas’s victory over Israel on October 7th, 2023, was written in the pages of history and was recognized by the whole world, and no one will erase it. Hamas won on the first day. But now, she is completing the battle that was imposed on her.

Second: Hamas did not enter the battle until they followed their Lord’s command, “And prepare.” They prepared their men and weapons and took the means of victory. They were confident that Allah would not let them down. Their confrontation with Israel in the year 2014 lasted fifty days, and they prepared themselves for this war for a more extended period.

Third: Hamas’s belief that combat doctrine is essential in military confrontations. Its military doctrine is based on Divine teachings that realize that all victory is from Allah and how many minor factions have defeated major factions, Allah willing. Allah had already granted them victory over Israel in previous wars from 2009 to 2014 when Israel was unable to control Gaza, and this itself is a victory.

As for the Israeli soldier, his fighting doctrine is corrupt, based on banditry, injustice, theft, and total reliance on the power of his weaponry, the armored vehicles in which he hides, and the Western powers that back him. He wishes to live while the Hamas fighter demands martyrdom.

Fourth: The Hamas movement has study centers and an advanced intelligence apparatus, which the October 7th battle revealed. Hamas realizes that Israel has been living in a state of internal disintegration for five years and that what occurred on October 7th will turn this situation into conflicts that have already begun and will worsen and may even explode into a full-fledged war, especially after the demonstrations that spread globally demanding that Netanyahu step down and stand trial. The actual disintegration in Israeli society will begin immediately after the end of the war, which Netanyahu does not want to end because its end is his end.

Fifth: Hamas is fighting on its land and defending its religion, the honor of the entire nation, and the sacredness of all Muslims, while the Zionist gangs are fighting on occupied territory, and the basis of the fighting determines the nature of the soldiers. An occupier is always defeated, even if he has at his disposal every lethal weapon, such as Israel and those who support it. But he who defends his land and religion fights until victory or martyrdom.

Sixth: The people of Gaza in this war are rallying around the resistance in an unprecedented way, and they are all turning to Allah. Allah has showered them with unparalleled mercy, tranquility, and contentment, making non-Muslims worldwide marvel at this patience, contentment, and certainty reflected in the resistance in the field and its operations and steadfastness under a solid, steadfast, cohesive, and beloved incubator. In contrast, the Zionists are living the worst days in Israeli history and are awaiting, dreading the curse of the eighth decade that will soon befall them.

Seventh: The people of Gaza realize that the goal is to displace them, but they decided it is more honorable to die under the roofs of their own homes as beloved martyrs rather than live in humiliation awaiting aid in shelters and tents outside their country. This has resulted in strong support for the resistance and steadfastness in their confrontation, and it drives the Israelis crazy because they are unable to displace them.

Eighth: This war has made the world - in an unprecedented way - sympathize with the cause of Palestine and the people of Gaza, while Israel has lost all sympathy, even from the world’s non-Zionist Jews. This is evident in the demonstrations that encircle the globe, especially in America and Europe, in defiance of all embargoes, and this creates support for the resistance. And strong support because they are defending their usurped land.

Ninth: The descent of Western media into the swamp of Zionist propaganda has provided Palestine and the resistance with support created by Allah via social media content creators from around the world who have played a significant role in acquiring international sympathy for Palestine, exposing Zionists fabrications, and destroying the Western media system that is biased toward Israel and which no one trusts anymore. They have played an essential role in creating international sympathy for the people of Gaza and the resistance at no significant cost. At the same time, the Zionists spend tens or hundreds of billions on their corrupt media, which has fallen into the swamp of lies forever.

Palestine has also become the primary concern of everyone who has a mobile phone anywhere in the world, and the astonishing images of resistance have become an inspiration and a desire for emancipation for everyone who lives under the yoke of injustice and persecution.

Tenth: Hamas has not yet shown all its weapons and surprises. It has promised Netanyahu to bring him to his knees, and they will do so. It is managing the battle militarily, politically, and in the media with impressive success and destructive power against the Israeli entity, even while Israel is bombarding Gaza - day and night - with all of America’s massive bombs and deadly missiles. For a month, more than 100,000 Israeli soldiers have been standing on Gaza’s borders with their armored vehicles, unable for five days to advance even a single inch. How much time do they need to be able to enter the heart of Gaza, in light of the fierce resistance they will face and the human and material losses they will sustain?

Eleventh: Hamas is betting that victory will be patient for an hour, and they will achieve significant gains in the field. Wars are a struggle of wills, and the patience of the Israelis has already begun to run thin. They are living in a deep domestic crisis. Netanyahu is struggling with his ministers, the people are demanding his resignation, the Finance Minister is talking about unprecedented losses, and the weary Israeli army is running in the streets. The West Bank occupation soldiers are dying in Gaza, and the people of Israel have been living in shelters for a month. All of life is at a standstill, and the people of the world are protesting in the streets against Israel, and they no longer hate Israel alone. Indeed, they particularly hate the Zionist Jews, and the Palestinian cause and Hamas are gaining new ground every day, while the scandals of Arab hypocrites are increasing day by day. Everything - really - is changing this time.

Finally, Hamas studied urban warfare well. The Battle of Fallujah took the Americans, with all their might, more than eight months, the Battle of Mosul took nine months, and other urban wars took years, but in Gaza, Israel is fighting ghosts, and the Israelis do not know where a Hamas fighter emerges from or how. Hamas tunnels are more than five hundred kilometers inside Gaza, and they have prepared for the Israeli soldiers in them what they do not expect. If the Israelis decide to prolong the war, Hamas is ready, and the Israelis will be the losers.

The war will undoubtedly be traumatic, painful, and unequal, and losses will be heavy. Still, when it fills the heart with certainty when it envelops the soul, faith turns into a composure and serenity that you witness in the faces and words of the Gazan people.

Reading the Qur’an these days in particular and meditating on its verses is enough to convey to us the feeling of that beautiful spirit in which the people of Gaza live, the fighter, the civilian, and the afflicted, for the sake of Allah. The battle is ongoing, and Allah’s victory is on the horizon. Trust that Allah will not allow the unbelievers to have a way over the believers.
