The Popular Kaduna based chef, Chefbie, wrote on her Facebook
“I honestly didn’t even know what to write.
Mallam Nasir has always been one of my favorite politicians. Yes, like every leader, he has his flaws, but that has never stopped me from admiring and respecting him.
This umulkhairi incident made me realize even more how much I respect him.
I remember that whenever there was a crisis in any local government or community in Kaduna, he would boldly warn them: “If you don’t stop this fight, I will demolish everything there.” Whether people agreed with his approach or not, one thing was certain—many of those conflicts would stop.
I personally believe he was one of the reasons the recurring violence in parts of Kaduna reduced during his time.
This is just my personal opinion, but I will always respect him for the firm stance he took against insecurity and violence.”
Yes, spot on. The "Glover's Hausas" (recruited 1863 in Lagos by Lt John Hawley Glover, mostly freed Hausa men from the North) formed the nucleus of today's Nigerian Army.
They became the Hausa Constabulary (1865), then Lagos Constabulary. By 1900-01 they fed into the West African Frontier Force's Northern & Southern Nigeria Regiments. The 1907 photo shows exactly that colonial force on parade.
Amalgamated 1914 as the Nigeria Regiment; after 1960 independence it became the Nigerian Army. Direct institutional roots.
My first time there, one guy brought a spare part for me that I didn’t ask for. He started from 45k, and last last we concluded at 5k. So when my friend came, I was bragging to him about how I beat down the guy’s price.
To my shock, he proved to me that the original item’s price is 3k.
Panteka is not a real place; I have never gone back 😂😂
This headline is highly misleading. I read the full statement from Hon. Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa.
He didn't in any way announce that JSS and SSS have been scrapped. What the Ministry approved is a proposal to extend compulsory basic education from 9 years to 12 years while retaining the existing 6-3-3 structure.
The whole idea is to remove the transition barrier between JSS and SSS that has left millions of Nigerian children out of school. According to the Minister, Nigeria has about 80,000 public primary schools but only about 15,000 junior secondary schools.
That gap alone has created a major bottleneck, with about 24 million children entering primary school but only around 4 million making it to the end of senior secondary education.
The reform is aimed at keeping children in school longer, reducing dropouts, strengthening vocational and entrepreneurial education, and giving every Nigerian child a better chance of completing basic education.
The real conversation should be whether states are ready to provide more classrooms, teachers, and funding to make it work, not misleading people into believing JSS and SSS have been abolished.
You can do better, Yabaleft!!!

The Law of Detachment in Islam - Tawakkul
You did your part. You made du'a.
You tried with your whole heart.
But some things are now out of your hands and that's exactly where Allah wants them.
Repeat after me:
What's written for me will find me.
What's delayed is not denied.
What leaves was never mine.
My Rabb is enough.Let go.
Detach.
Tawakkul never fails.
You need N2,000 for food from someone who needs N20,000 to fix his car.
He is looking up to his friend who needs N200,000 for his business.
That friend is asking his brother who needs N2,000,000 to complete his house.
The brother is asking the bank credit manager for N20,000,000 to execute a government contract.
The government itself is requesting a loan of N200,000,000,000 from another country.
Everyone has problems.
The N200 someone gives you may be out of sacrifice and love. Don’t despise little help.
Appreciate every act of kindness, because no one gives from an empty heart.
Learn to appreciate every kindness.
Bandits kidnapped a medical doctor. They tied him up, set up fire, grabbed his hand and put it inside the burning fire. Everyday, they burn a portion of his hand while he watched & screamed of severe pain. They kept burning the hand daily until they reached his shoulder. They then collected 15 million naira ransom and still killed him. These are the animals government wants to forgive & reward with free houses.
