India’s Bank employees seek two things rooted in fairness and dignity at work.
#5DayWeekandFairPLI
The demand for a 5 Day Work Week in banks is not new. It already stands agreed upon in the Bipartite Settlement of March 2024. What remains is its long-pending implementation.
At the same time, the unilateral and discriminatory PLI system must be abolished and replaced with a fair, transparent and inclusive framework for all employees, recognising the collective effort behind every institution’s performance.
Hardworking bank employees are not asking for privilege. They are asking for implementation of an agreement and equality in reward.
A motivated banking workforce strengthens Indian banking and the nation.
@PMOIndia
When MP won their first #RanjiTrophy in 2022, nobody cared who was in the association office. The spotlight was on the players. With J&K’s win, the noise is all about the administration. Credit is fine, but this story belongs to the ones who did it on the field.
Modern Banking Reality
Earlier, a banker handled accounts.
Today, a banker is a salesperson, tech support, loan recovery agent, insurance advisor, mutual fund distributor, and complaint manager..all in one.
Banking has evolved from transactions to targets.
This is the new face of the Indian banking sector.

To,
The Prime Minister’s Office,
All Chief Ministers,
And All Responsible Authorities of India.
I am writing this open letter with deep pain and anger. Again and again, our country faces terrible incidents where innocent people lose their lives. Bridges collapse, roads are full of dangerous potholes, trains meet accidents, fires break out, and public places become unsafe. Every time, families are destroyed in seconds.
These are not just accidents. Many times, these tragedies happen because of government failure, poor maintenance, corruption, and negligence. When safety is ignored, people pay the price with their lives.
What hurts even more is what happens after. Authorities give speeches, promise inquiries, and then hand over a small compensation of 2 lakh or 5 lakh. This is not justice. This is an insult to the families who have lost their loved ones forever.
How can a human life be valued so cheaply?
The government has huge funds. Thousands of crores are spent on advertisements, and marketing. But when a citizen dies because of unsafe roads, weak bridges, or railway failures, the family is given only a few lakhs. This feels like humiliation, not support.
I request you strongly to understand that money can never replace a life. But proper compensation is necessary to show accountability and seriousness. If a death happens due to government responsibility, compensation should be at least 1 to 2 crores. Only then will the system feel the weight of its failure.
Along with this, we need real action. Officials and contractors responsible must be punished. Safety audits must be honest. Public money must be used for protection, not publicity.
Indian citizens are not numbers. They are not files to be closed with small cheques. The first duty of any government is to protect its people. When it fails, it must take full responsibility.
This letter is written with respect, but also with firmness. The people of India deserve safety, dignity, and justice.
Respectfully,
Nalini Unagar
A rested workforce serves the public better. With staff shortages and rising stress, 5-day banking is a service-quality issue, not a “perk.” UFBU has pursued this since 2015; IBA has recommended it to the Government (MoU 07-12-2023), and it’s included in the 12th Bipartite/9th Joint Note (08-03-2024), pending clearances.
Let’s finish what’s already agreed.

In that video of Umar Nabi, he appears so incoherent, jumbled thoughts, breaks in the middle into a British Accent. How did anyone not spot the apparent mental disorder?
Also high time our community looks within and addresses the radicalization found in significant pockets.
Saw the video of Umar Nabi, accused in the recent blast in Delhi, in which he is justifying terrorism, specifically suicide bombings as some kind of path to 'Martyrdom' and trying to base his evil thoughts on Islamic foundations.
Time for all of us Muslims, Kashmiris and non-Kashmiris, to stand and speak out against such elements.
If we don't, such terrorists will overshadow the majority of Muslims who don't believe in such untrue, blasphemous and utterly false interpretations of not only our religion but also our culture. Not rejecting Umar Nabi and his destructive ideology, will let these terrorists win and make the majority of Muslims lose.
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), refused to lead the funeral prayer of a person who committed suicide.
Umar Nabi, not only committed suicide, but also killed dozens of innocent people by committing a suicide attack.
To my mind, we should reject such animals and their actions, by refusing to perform their last rites.
Dear Jio,
Two Suggestions:
- Most Indians have Wifi access. Senior Citizens use Wifi mostly. Please provide an affordable 1 GB per day plan with options to choose (28 days onwards). Also a yearly plan.
- Provide affordable Voice only plans for less than ₹100 every month. Anything above this is forcing people to take data, even if they don't need it.
There are many who use only voice and also less than 1 GB per day. Need inclusive plans. Let users decide.
Urging my audience to repost this (if you also feel this way) until @JioCare ACTUALLY Cares 👍

5DaysBanking is our right.
Those unions who arent ready to fight must be questioned.
There members should ask question to them.
If a union with 6500 members can call strike. Why cant you?
