My sugar X post has generated such a debate .
Ideally bonuses are paid after subsequent sales where farmers are paid portions of the total sales in advance as they wait the final sale . In the case of Mumias what were the sales volume before the bonus?
How was the bonus calculated ? What was the tonnage production of canes that generated bonus?
Will this be the annual trend ?
Bonuses are issued by the aggregator seller not Government.
At last I’m happy that sugar farmers have something to smile about .
Let bonus roll in all sugar factories in Kenya .
