I know this sounds far-fetched.
But if someone told you 10 years ago where AI would be today, would you have believed them?
We have to stay alert. We have to build responsibly.
And more than anything, we have to stay grounded in our faith.
This is alarming!
The first thing I thought of was a hadith of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, who prophesized a time when "the killer would not know why he killed, and the one killed would not know why he was killed."
I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.
Now imagine something vastly more intelligent than us, AI.
If humanity ever became a hindrance to its objectives, would it need a reason to remove us? Would we even understand what happened?
- Look for unity with people, no matter what disagreements you have with others. Avoid division at all costs.
The Dajjal is coming and the end times are near.
What does this mean to the average human?
These are signs meant to wake us up.
- Strengthen your faith in Allah to protect ourselves from evil and bad character.
- Beware of what’s happening around you so you can refuse to be manipulated.
Some lessons are best learned through pain. Sometimes we have to be broken so we can be whole again. If Allah meant the day to be perfect, He wouldn't have invented tomorrow.
If you're thinking "why Allah is so late at coming through?" think again!
Allah is never late.
His timing is always perfect. It's just that He knows more than you.
Get rid of arrogance from your heart. Don't ever feel the need to look down on someone, not for anything that the Almighty has given you - wealth, power, good looks etc. Remember! His might and power, and how he can take away your blessings in seconds.
When you find yourself in a situation or place, wondering why you're here and feeling uncertain about the future, just know that Allah has a purpose for placing you in this moment or place. In time, the reasons will unfold.
Calamities and disasters are perceived as tests and signs of Allah's love, akin to medicine given despite its bitterness.
“The greatest reward comes with the greatest trial.”
-Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah
As we conclude the day of Arafah, millions of people in the plains of Arafah and across the globe have raised their hands to Allah in sincere supplication. May Allah accept all our duas or grant us better than what we asked for. Ameen.
