Irma McClaurin '76MFA, '89MA, '93PhD is aiming to make the Black Feminist Archive the largest collection of its kind devoted to preserving the history of Black women.

By partnering with Special Collections and University Archives (@scua_umass) and @UMassLibraries McClaurin was able to make thousands of documents accessible. The collection features unpublished papers, journals, photos, and memorabilia from Black icons ranging from Cheryl Evans to Maya Angelou.
