Another day, another new client. Welcome to Gary and Alei, good friends and the fastest ever acceptance of our online proposal!! I wonder if anyone can beat their time of 20 seconds?
Picked up the first client today. A beautiful symmetry as his father became a client of mine on my first day as a client manager at another firm, back in 1992!
We held our first “Board meeting” for our new business here on 1 February 1999. 23 years later, I am back to have my first “progress review” with the practice manager for our new venture!!
@agemjourney As a non-medic I’m more interested in empathy and competence from my doctor. After a 22 hour shift/60 hour week, chances are you look less smart than when you started anyway!!(SC)
@SandipP64097927 Thanks Sandip, please refer them to us. We have a good team in place so have always got room to help others. Especially now January is past!!
Last Return filed at 8.13pm yesterday evening. Thanks to the team member who stayed late to get that done. HMRC acknowledgement timed at 2.56am. Hope the team member didn’t wait for the confirmation!!(SC).
All bar one of our Tax Returns are done. Just waiting for the straggler. Despite WFH, staff illness and a shortage of one manager, we’ve made the (traditional) deadline. WELL DONE TEAM!(SC)
@TaxfilerLtd Could you let me know why i@ receiving an error message this morning? I assume you’re overwhelmed with Filing deadline logins, but I’ve only got one left to finalise! How do we work around this?(SC)
Pleased to see another refund hit the client account today. £3,000 for a good friend who became a client last year.
Added to the £4K from last week, it’s been a good time for our clients’ cashflow (SC)
More detail from HMRC’s press release. Fines will not be levied for 2021 Tax Returns filed on or before 28/2/22. Interest still runs on tax paid late, but no surcharge if paid before 1/4 or payment plan agreed by then. (SC) #selfassessment#tax#HMRC
Looks like HMRC have put back the Self-Assessment filing deadline. Penalties waived if Returns are filed before 28 February, with a delay in the payment date too. Watch for more details later.(SC)
@PhysioKernow@Medic_Russell@givetocaesar There are ways to keep out of higher rates of tax. Making a pension contribution or making sure you claim for your gift aid donations, professional subscriptions and other expenses. In the long term, it may be possible to route locum income through your own limited company.(SC).
Another #medics tax review completed & another £3.5K to £4K refund coming. All because the tax code was applied on the wrong basis.(SC) #nhs#doctor#tax
@OtiMabuse It was always going to happen one day, but what a legacy that man has left. May we all learn to speak as he did; truthfully with power yet with grace.
