They can only understand the world from their own biases.
I appreciate the good wishful thinking.
But I don’t think history is a good reference for what to expect this time.
The singularity is… by definition: a singularity.
We’re a few years from engineering superintelligence. And it *will* change the structure of society, meaning and work.
We should think seriously about it.

@pmarca The Iliad is literally about a guy so in his feelings he lets his friends die over a personal slight — and ends up weeping with his enemy’s dad. Everyone remembers that guy as the best warrior in history. Great men stay moaning.
