This semester’s FTX was a great training event for our cadets! Over the weekend cadets were able to complete the confidence course and test their leadership at the FLRC. We also worked on land nav and marksmanship, getting the MSIIIs ready for camp. #goblue#armyrotc
President-Elect Kent Syverud is expected to assume the position by July 1. Syverud, who earned his Juris Doctor from @UMichLaw in 1981 and master’s in economics at U-M in 1983, is the first U-M alumnus in nearly a century to be appointed president. https://t.co/FQEXXZx2iu

This week, we remember #DDay. The invasion of 79 years ago helped change the course of #WWII. U-M ROTC students visited/trained at northern France’s battlefields/memorials.

DAY#02 As the students approach the jagged edge of Pointe du Hoc, in #Normandy, they seem bewildered. “Once you step in here, U see the masses of the cliffs, their height & the difficult terrain rangers had to climb; it’s kind of a shock.” Alexis Gonzalez

Nearly 8 decades after the #DDay invasion—that led to the liberation of Western Europe—@UMich#ROTC cadets from the Army, Navy & Air Forces embarked on an unprecedented staff ride to visit and train together at northern France's historic battlefields, monuments & memorials and learn something new about the wartime experience.

Some pictures of our cadets at the Military Ball on Friday!🌟
This was our first Ball in a few years because of Covid! Was a really nice joint operations evening filled with food & drinks. Cadets performed skits, carried colors, and sat at tables with cadets from other branches.
Thursdays lab this week was Platoon Attack!
Cadets had to use their IMTs up and down snowy hills while staying out of sight. MSIVs acted as lane walkers and OPFOR who made lots of snowballs as ammo. Was a beautiful and fun day of training!
