@AkkadSecretary Basically, it’s not fair to say prices in all of the US are like this. You have to say which state and even which city you are in (cities can add local taxes to the state taxes and can vote on their own city minimum wages).
@AkkadSecretary It really depends on which state you’re in. Some states have higher minimum wage than the federal minimum wage. Also, you’re paying for the overhead. If the state limits electricity production, then that cost is passed onto the consumer. Same with property taxes.
One of the most important morals of Covid was that most people wouldn’t recognize the arrival of tyranny even if it
1/ banned church services
2/ shut down their business
3/ forced them to stay home
4/ stopped schooling their kids
5/ lost them their job cuz “inessential”
6/ kept sick family from seeing their loved ones
7/ prevented their doctors from making their own medical decisions
8/ demanded they cover their identity and ability to express themselves in public
9/ coordinated which speech and viewpoints would be allowed in the public square
10/ jabbed them in the arm with a rushed medication, and refusal to submit meant being fired and banished
@TheLaurenChen People be acting like this is something new. My grandmother had her youngest child well into her 40s. My mom’s oldest sibling was 20 years older than her. She was 5 out of 6 kids in South Korea born around 1950.
@DangerThinking Sadly, I think they’ve realized that people don’t care about privacy through the rampant use of social media. Many of the things listed are things that people say out loud on the internet for everyone to know. It’s a bit crazy actually.
@ilconservatore9 @pureMetatron I’ll add that anyone that grew up in the city (esp the hood) knows this. Situational awareness is key. For ex, it would not be wise to sit in an area where everyone is wearing a blue shirt while wearing a red one. Standard situational awareness one needs to survive the city.
@ilconservatore9 @pureMetatron Sadly, it was. When you look at how ppl were seated in the lightrail car, that section had one type of group seated there. They segregated themselves into that section.
Unfortunately, this young lady didn’t get the memo to not sit there when ppl segregate themselves like that.
@Asmongold I normally don’t post on Twitter but i came on here bc I just wanted to say I’m sorry about your loss. Losing parents isn’t a club that anyone wants to join. I hope you have support from people in your life. We’re all thinking about you and your dad.
@ConceptualJames Did you know that the Highlander Folk School was founded in Tennessee and is currently outside of Knoxville? Their bookstore is wild. 😳
You’ve heard it said that many blacks possess a “victim mentality”…
The reason for that, unfortunately, is due to a strong identification with a “struggle” that is more theatrical than reality.
Allow me to tell you the truth about the theatrics of it, in hopes that the truth will set you free from a victim predisposition.
