Represented by Assoc. Prof. Kasozi Mulindwa, the Director General welcomed participants to the Institutional Leadership and Management Course and encouraged them to actively engage with facilitators and fellow participants throughout the training.

With a call to purposeful leadership & institutional excellence, Commissioner of Prisons Mary Centenary, Ag. Commandant, underscored the importance of full engagement in the course, noting it as a strategic programme designed to strengthen leadership, discipline, & resource mgt.

Aimed at fostering visionary and effective leadership within the Uganda Prisons Service, the 22-day course is equipping 53 participants with practical leadership and management skills to strengthen institutional effectiveness and improve service delivery.

Today, UMI, in partnership with the Uganda Prisons Service, officially commenced the 22-day Institutional Leadership and Management Training at the Prisons Academy Training School, Luzira.
