A woman once asked the scholar Muhammad Nasir al-Din al-Albani (may Allah have mercy on him):
“Before marriage, I used to fast often, pray regularly, and feel great sweetness in reciting the Qur’an. But now I have lost that sweetness in worship.”
He asked her:
“How are you fulfilling your husband’s rights?”
She replied: “I asked you about prayer, fasting, and worship why are you asking about my husband?”
He said:
“Yes, my sister. Do you know why some women do not feel the sweetness of faith and worship?”
Then he reminded her of the saying of the Prophet Alaihi Salaam:
“A woman does not taste the sweetness of faith until she fulfills the rights of her husband.”
📚 Sahih al-Targheeb 1939
A powerful reminder that true spiritual sweetness is connected to fulfilling the rights and responsibilities placed upon us.

“Do you want true happiness?” ~ Shaykh Rabi ibn Hādi al Madkhali رحمه الله
Ibn al-Jawzi رحمه الله
“Indeed, sinful desires never leave a person in a state of comfort as it brings forth nothing but regret and grief afterwards.”
[Captured Thoughts, Pg. 70; (Eng. Translation]
lbn Munayyir رحمه اللّٰه said,
“It is permissible for a women to offer herself to a righteous man in marriage and and to let him know that she has an inclination for him.
And there is nothing wrong with that.”
[Fat’hul Bari 9/175]
Zakariyya A.S didn’t know how Allah was going to give him an offspring. He still prayed. Yunus A.S didn’t know how he would be saved from the belly of a whale. He still prayed. Musa (A.S) didn’t know how will the sea be parted. He still prayed. Sometimes, it’s not about knowing the “how,” it’s about having full conviction in the prayer. Even when the situation looks impossible, remember Allah is capable of all things. Faith means trusting without having all the answers.
Just like the prophets, turn to Allah no matter how dark it gets. Keep praying, even when there seems to be no way. Dua is powerful it reaches places the mind can’t. Allah hears every word, every tear, every silent hope. So never stop praying. The “how” is in His hands🫀
Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله on Istighfār:
“Whenever I become hesitant or confused about an issue, I seek Allah’s forgiveness a thousand times, or more, or even less until He opens my chest and resolves the matter that confused me.
Even if I am in a marketplace, a masjid, a mountain pass, or a school, nothing prevents me from remembering Allah and seeking His forgiveness, until I achieve what I seek.”
[Majmū‘ al-Fatāwā, vol. 11, pg. 5 | Dār Kutub al-‘Ilmiyyah]
Tahajud prayer. Wake up an hour before Fajr & perform 2 rakah in deep concentration followed by Dua. Open your heart to the creator. I’ve neglected this recently since Ramadan ended but its helped me so much in my life. So powerful. Wallahi it saved me during my lowest times.
