Doctors uniting to support their colleague is understandable and good. Solidarity matters.
But this new drama of attacking and cursing the common Kashmiri public calling us ignorant, saying we shouldn’t be helped, labelling us this and that is completely unfair and wrong.
How exactly is the common man at fault here?
The technical experts who are themselves doctors levelled serious allegations against the cardiologist. A formal government enquiry order and report was then put in the public domain and started circulating widely on the internet. When people see an official government document, it’s obvious and natural they will believe it and react. That’s not their crime, it’s human nature.
Instead of vilifying your own people, why don’t you ask the right questions?
How did a supposedly confidential government document get leaked and spread everywhere? Who is responsible for that? Hold the so-called technical committee accountable. Question the people who issued the orders. Ask the media that ran detailed stories based on it.
I haven’t seen a single post from these angry doctors targeting the committee, the order issuers or those who let the report go public. Why this easy trend of blaming and shaming common Kashmiris instead? Stop shifting the blame onto the public. Demand real accountability from the system and the experts who created this mess in the first place.
