Moderation in the deen is the way of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and he warned against extremism.
However, those who call themselves “moderate muslims” in this age are far from the moderation taught by the Prophet ﷺ.

Celebrities aren’t allowed to go to public without bodyguards. It seems so cool to the world being surrounded by protectors, and something to boast about. But when Islam says travelling without mehram isn't allowed for women, it becomes CONSERVATIVE and burdensome all of a sudden
True self-love is being obedient to Allah because you want Jannah. It’s looking at the exhaustion of this dunya and deciding that your soul deserves an ultimate, everlasting rest. That is how you truly love yourself. Self-love is never found in disobedience.
A guy sees a lady and says with assurance how he wants to wed her and he goes for it.
But you?
A guy comes to you with uncertainty, but he says he likes you, and he tells you, "Let's see how it goes," and you are smiling?
Aren't you worth being sure of, too?
