We had a great time talking with students at the SPH Practice Day! HERO gives students opportunities to do their APEX/ILE projects with us, learning about public health emergency preparedness and response, and how they can apply what they are learning in their degree programs.
Yesterday HERO co-hosted a UMNPrepared Steve Rummler Naloxone training with Boynton, where participants learned how to recognize an opioid overdose and observed Naloxone use. For those who couldn't come, we will be having another Naloxone training in November!
After the shooting at Annunciation Catholic School, the U of M MRC Disaster Behavioral Health Team was activated to provide mental health support to the community. We were part of a response that involved government organizations, the Archdiocese, and volunteer organizations.
