@egmackey Yes. One of the things I also stress is that you can teach reading and math through science. Who likes to do rote maybe problems, read stories about things that don’t affect me? After getting out crayfish in third grade AMSTI kit, what teacher would not read about crayfish?
Love this idea of using phenomena for teaching. I talk to my teachers that science is not a set of knowledge to repeat, but using knowledge to answer questions you have about the world. #ALedchat
