A nursing student in Bareilly, UP, hosted a birthday party for her classmates at a café. The group included six girls and four boys, two of whom were Muslim. Shortly after the celebration began, members of the Bajrang Dal barged in, assaulted the Muslim boy and the girl and created a scene, accusing the boys of so-called “love jihad.”
In the video, police can be seen tussling with the girl. Although the police investigation found nothing objectionable, a case was still registered for “disturbing the peace” against the two Muslim boys and a café staff member. The Bajrang Dal members who triggered the commotion, however, were gently persuaded and sent away.
