PARENTING

Recently, younger workmate who is also a mother, walks to me and says, we love it when you write about PARENTING.

While my workmates obviously get to see how I handle this parenting stuff, I didn’t think, it was important for me to engage.

Zion Wekesa who is our last born and I have alone for about 2 months now, the bigger brother is at University after 1.5yrs of full time work with us.

The sister on the other hand joins university this coming August pursuing a career in Marketing and media outside Uganda.

We walk up early, I drop him for coaching in either football, chess or basketball but video editing as well this holiday.

He then joins us for work and then we leave together for him and he will do online competition, play some basketball, once in a while we take on each other in chess before bed.

TODAY MORNING

During breakfast Mr. Lubwama who is one of the biggest real estate investor in Uganda and industrialist, took us through book booking and taxation.

I took the boys who are very close through networking, skilling and lifestyles but I must say Taxation and booking dominated our discussions.

HL LUBWAMA is my senior in business and general entrepreneurial journey , so I get to learn as well. Am glad our children being friends gave us a chance to meet.

One might assume young guys at 14 years old might be interested but they are and will engage deeply, ask relevant questions and laugh hard where necessary.

AS PARENTS WE ARE ALSO LIVING ON THIS EARTH FOR THE FIRST TIME, WE CAN ONLY SHARE INFORMATION BASED ON OUR EXPERIENCES.
