my biggest disappointment with the God of War reboot series is that it completely ditches ACTUAL cinematic gameplay. it's my biggest disappointment with AAA gaming today. this kind of sauce is a lost art in blockbusters
I’m just gonna be harsh and say just please don’t do original designs in Spider-Man 2. Who’s using legit any of these. In the second game especially. Why were there SO MANY in the second game. They gave this one’s mask a hairline💀
Fighting games are the one genre of media where you can really tell they care about representing different cultures and that it comes from a genuine place of sincerity.
‼️I'M IN STREET FIGHTER‼️
Beyond humbled & unbelievably proud to announce I'm the voice of YASMINE, the newest playable & the *first ever* Filipino character in @StreetFighter 🇵🇭
As a first-gen Fil-Am, I am honored to bring Yasmine to life. This feels like a dream 🥹 Mabuhay!
Look how happy this man looks upon seeing his fellow Filipinos. And you're telling me we're not allowed to be proud of him just because he's also black (an important part of his identity that we are NOT denying and that he's also very proud of as well btw)
Pamumukadkad ng Sampaguita (Blooming Sampaguita) is a great name for Yasmine’s Level 3 Super Art! 🇵🇭
Sampaguita is the Philippines national flower. This is a small but impactful way of showcasing our beautiful culture.
Fun fact, when I was a younger kid, my Tita and Lola would take me to church and outside, there were kids selling Sampaguitas. We’ll offer them to our patron saints in church or take it home to offer to our loved ones who have passed.
This is how you do a well-designed Filipina fighting game character. You can definitely see the sabong inspiration here. Capcom did a really good job on Yasmine IMO.
