@tanaka_phil@YannickBolasie@vusimkanya1 Well well well. We meet again. We still have players not being booked for harsh challenges in the world cup imagine ๐คฃ.
@tanaka_phil I think we have both made our points and expressed our views clearly. This debate could go on forever because anything I say can be countered, just as I can counter your points. At the end of the day, it comes down to personal opinion.
@tanaka_phil I can simply counter by saying if every follower of Ronaldo would vote he'd have won a lot of them so please refrain from that. This is an objective thing.
@tanaka_phil At this point the mature conclusion is simple, both are all time greats, and who you rank higher depends on the qualities you value most. Anything beyond that is no longer an objective debate it is just preference pretending to be fact, you're smart and you know this is true.
@tanaka_phil Fact that there is a side by side comparison is exactly why Ronaldo remains firmly in the conversation you can't be compared to something that's not great.
@tanaka_phil He said a couple of things in his tweet. In my opinion that is not a fair rebuttal if you focus on the golden boy claim. It becomes selective reasoning. You are ignoring the other facts that do not suit your position and clinging to the one point you think you can challenge.
@tanaka_phil Saying Ronaldo is simply lucky to be mentioned alongside Messi is disrespectful. It shows we cannot have a proper debate when you want to use stats and comparisons that favour your side, while refusing to acknowledge Ronaldoโs impact, achievements, and full context of his career.
