#ATIKU2027: BREAKING!!! Atiku Abubakar Talks Very Tough, Quickly Moves To "Force" President Bola Tinubu To Resign Within 7 Days, For Daring To Continue To Breach Section 58 (4) Of The 1999 Constitution Of The Federal Republic Of Nigeria; National Assembly Put On Emergency Alert
His Excellency, former Vice President of Nigeria and 2027 Presidential Candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Atiku Abubakar, has on Friday, given President Bola Ahmed Tinubu a 7-day ultimatum, to fulfil his Constitutional duty, by either assenting to the Federal Audit Service Bill, or formally communicating to the National Assembly, his reasons for withholding Presidential assent.
Failure to do so, Atiku warned, would amount to a continuous violation of the Constitution, and leave the President with only one honourable option, to resign.
In a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku said that the President's continued silence over the Bill, months after it was transmitted by the National Assembly, represents a clear breach of Section 58 (4) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended).
His exact words: "Nigerians deserve clarity, not silence. The Constitution neither authorises Executive inaction nor contemplates indefinite Presidential delay. Continued failure to act only reinforces public concern that Constitutional obligations are increasingly being subordinated to Executive convenience."
Atiku noted that Section 58 (4) is explicit that the President must within 30 days of receiving any Bill passed by the National Assembly, either signify assent or withhold assent.
He added: "That provision is neither decorative nor discretionary. It is a Constitutional command. The framers of our Constitution never envisaged a President who would simply sit on Legislation indefinitely, while governance drifts without certainty or accountability."
The former Vice President stressed that the Federal Audit Service Bill is a landmark reform, designed to strengthen the independence of the Office of the Auditor-General for the Federation, modernise Nigeria's public Audit architecture, improve oversight of public expenditure, and align the country's Audit system with international best practices.
According to him, delaying action on legislation intended to deepen transparency and accountability, sends the wrong message at a time Nigerians are demanding for stronger Institutions and more prudent management of public resources.
Atiku further argued that the President's failure to act, reflects a disturbing pattern of constitutional disregard by the current administration.
He stated: "Every major scandal begins with a smaller act of Institutional neglect. It begins when Constitutional provisions are treated as optional, when oversight Institutions are weakened, and when those entrusted with enforcing the Law become comfortable operating outside its clear boundaries."
He also referenced the recent controversy surrounding the proposed Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, PFIPC, saying that, the episode underscored the dangers of weak Institutional safeguards and inconsistent official communication.
"The Constitution is one indivisible covenant. A President who treats one Constitutional obligation as optional, inevitably weakens respect for every other Constitutional safeguard. That is how impunity gradually becomes Institutional culture and governance descends into perpetual crisis management, rather than responsible leadership", he maintained.
Reaffirming that Constitutional democracy depends on strict adherence to the Rule of Law, Atiku maintained that no Public Official, including the President, is above the Constitution.
#ATIKU2027: BREAKING!!! Atiku Abubakar Now "Confirmed" To Defeat Peter Obi In The Entire South-East; Secures Gigantic Millions Of Votes In Igbo Land, After Making Another Very Strategic Appointment, To Begin Massive Grassroots Mobilisation Across All Peter Obi's Strongholds, Villages And Communities, In The 5 South-Eastern States
His Excellency, former Vice President and 2027 Presidential Candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Atiku Abubakar, has intensified preparations for the 2027 Presidential election, with another strategic appointment aimed at strengthening his grassroots political structure across Nigeria's South-East States.
Recall, that the South-East is the self-proclaimed political stronghold of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, 2027 Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi.
However, in what Political Observers have considered a significant step towards expanding the opposition's reach at the community level, Atiku has appointed Omega Odunze, as his Special Assistant on Community Mobilisation (South-East), charging him with coordinating an extensive grassroots mobilisation campaign across Communities, Wards and Polling Units, in the region.
The appointment was announced by the Atiku Media Office, on Thursday.
According to Atiku's Media Adviser, Paul Ibe, the appointment forms part of a broader strategy to deepen grassroots engagement and broaden the ADC's presence across every layer of society, in the South-East.
He said: "The appointment reflects the campaign's commitment to strengthening grassroots engagement, expanding strategic community outreach, and deepening partnerships across the South-East, as part of a broader national effort to promote democratic participation, national unity and people-centred development."
The latest appointment comes as Atiku continues to build what his campaign describes as a nationwide political movement, capable of reaching every Community across the country.
As Special Assistant on Community Mobilisation (South-East), Odunze will spearhead the campaign's grassroots engagement strategy throughout the region. His responsibilities include: coordinating mobilisation efforts with Zonal, State, Local Government, Ward and Polling Unit Coordinators, to ensure effective political organisation at every level.
Beyond party structures, he is expected to engage with Traditional Rulers, Community Leaders, Youth and Women Groups, Professionals, Faith-based Organisations, Civil Society Organisations and other key Stakeholders, in driving inclusive participation and expanding support for Atiku's vision for for a better Nigeria.
Odunze, an indigene of Imo State, brings extensive experience in Community development, humanitarian intervention, peacebuilding, agricultural empowerment and Stakeholder engagement.
An accomplished Literary Scholar and Chief Executive Officer of Khaimaenergy Ltd, he has worked with leading International Development Organisations, including CARE International (USA), where he supported Community Development Initiatives; the Community Mobile Clinic and Gender Base Centre, advancing Community Health and Gender-Responsive Programmes; Mercy Corps International (UK), where he contributed to Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution Initiatives; and Agricultural Community Empowerment programmes that promoted Greenhouse Farming, improved livelihoods and strengthened Food Security.
Ibe expressed confidence that Odunze's experience would strengthen the mobilisation drive and deepen Community engagement across the South-East, as preparations intensify for the 2027 general elections.
Reaffirming the broader political agenda, he said that Atiku remains committed to promoting inclusive Leadership, national unity, economic transformation, youth empowerment, security and good governance.
#ATIKU2027: Major Trouble Ahead, As President Bola Tinubu's Alleged Secret Third Term Agenda Before The National Assembly Gets Exposed To The World; New Revelation Shows The APC 2027 Presidential Candidate May Be Planning To Be A Nigerian President For Life; All Voters Advised To Block That Unconstitutional Agenda, Come 2027 Elections
A Human Rights Lawyer and Constitutional Scholar, Chidi Odinkalu, has raised a fresh Constitutional alarm, by alleging that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is positioning himself to remain in Office beyond the Constitutionally recognised two-term limit.
Speaking on Naija Unfiltered, on Thursday, Odinkalu declared emphatically: "There will be a third term."
When pressed on whether he genuinely believes that President Tinubu intends to stay beyond 2031, if mistakenly re-elected, he replied: "Yes... There will be a third term."
The allegation has immediately shifted public attention to a Constitutional amendment proposal before the National Assembly, seeking to replace Nigeria's current two four-year Presidential terms, with a single six-year term.
Although, the proposal has been publicly presented as a governance reform designed to eliminate the distractions of re-election campaigns, Odinkalu argued that it could ultimately become the legal pathway for an unprecedented extension of Presidential tenure.
Rejecting suggestions that the administration's political maneuvers are merely aimed at winning a second term, he insisted: "President Tinubu has not done all of this just for another four years. There will be a third term."
The Constitutional Scholar further warned that those dismissing the possibility, are overlooking what he described as clear warning signs.
"Anybody who is doing, 'it is not our portion', is not reading the evidence", he stated.
At the centre of the controversy is a Constitutional amendment proposal championed by Senate Leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, who has advocated for replacing the existing two-term structure with a single six-year tenure, for Presidents and Governors.
For Odinkalu, however, the timing of the proposal is significant.
According to him, the real question is what happens after President Tinubu's Constitutionally permitted tenure expires in 2031.
"Once we finish our elections, we are going to amend our Constitution, introduce a single six-year Presidential term. The current incumbent will be elected until 2031. In 2031, what will happen? The question will be, will he be entitled to run on the six-year term, or will he not?", he asked.
He argued that proponents of such a move could rely on legal arguments that Constitutional amendments are not retrospective.
"You will then get the best Senior Advocates in Nigeria, telling you the Law is not retrospective", Odinkalu stated.
His comments have inevitably revived memories of former President Olusegun Obasanjo's failed third-term agenda; one of the defining Constitutional battles of Nigeria's Fourth Republic. That experience explains why any proposal touching the Presidential tenure is often viewed with suspicion, regardless of its stated objective.

#ATIKU2027: BREAKING!!! President Bola Tinubu May Drop Out Of The 2027 Presidential Race Any Moment From Now, As New Revelation Shows That The APC Presidential Candidate Can No Longer Sleep At The Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Due To Fear And Confirmation That Atiku Abubakar Will Disgrace Him At The Polls With A Historic Never-Before-Seen Defeat
Barely three years into President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration, the political battle for 2027 appears to have entered a decisive new phase, with the All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Candidate, having reported sleepless nights, just a few months to the general elections.
Across the opposition, there is growing confidence that His Excellency, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has emerged as the rallying point for a broad coalition to unseat President Tinubu, come 2027.
That confidence found its strongest expression in the words of former Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, on Thursday.
His exact words: "President Bola Tinubu, by God's grace, the outgoing President, has been having sleepless nights over the ADC. Everywhere he turns, he sees Atiku Abubakar. They have continued scheming to ensure the ADC does not see the light of day, but God has frustrated those efforts."
As the Director-General of Atiku Abubakar's 2023 Presidential Campaign Organisation, and one of the former Vice President's closest Political Strategists, Tambuwal's remarks are widely viewed as reflecting the broader thinking within the emerging opposition coalition, rather than a personal opinion.
The opposition is now openly mobilising Nigerians around a common political objective of building a united coalition, capable of reclaiming power in 2027.
Tambuwal further said: "My message is simple: We must join forces to send APC packing in 2027. The ADC and our Allies will galvanise every corner of this country to make that happen. We will not be intimidated, we will not be silenced, and we will not allow the suffering of Nigerians to continue unchecked."
Against this backdrop, Tambuwal's repeated reference to Atiku were far from accidental. By declaring that "everywhere he turns, he sees Atiku Abubakar", he sought to portray the former Vice President not simply as another Opposition Leader, but as the dominant political figure around whom Nigerians seeking change are rallying behind.
For now, however, Tambuwal has delivered a message that resonates well beyond the campaign trail: The opposition believes the road to Aso Rock in 2027, runs through Atiku Abubakar, and it is determined to convince Nigerians that the political momentum is steadily shifting in Atiku's favour.

#ATIKU2027: More Bad News For APC, As CBN Governor Technically "Confesses" That President Bola Tinubu And His Economic Policies Have Failed Woefully; After Declaring That Any Nigerian That Rejects The ₦100 Note Will Be Severely Sanctioned
The attention of "Atiku Is For The People" global movement has on Thursday, been drawn to the Central Bank of Nigeria's, CBN, warning that Nigerians who reject the ₦100 note risk sanctions, arguing that it remains a legal tender in the country.
While the CBN is correct in Law, its statement inadvertently exposes the painful reality of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration's economic stewardship; that Nigerians are not rejecting the ₦100 note, inflation has just rejected its value.
Money earns acceptance through its purchasing power, not official directives. A currency that retains its value requires no threats, no circulars and certainly no enforcement. It is trusted, because it can meaningfully pay for goods and services.
Today, ₦100 can barely buy two TomTom sweets. A roasted corn costs between ₦500 and ₦2,000. A piece of coconut sells for about ₦1,500, while three pears (ube) can cost as much as ₦1,000.
The ₦100 did not disappear, because Nigerians rejected it. It disappeared, because inflation rendered it worthless. Markets determine the value of money, long before governments acknowledge reality.
It is shameful that while the President Tinubu administration insists its economic reforms are working, the nation's Apex Bank now finds itself pleading with Nigerians to accept one of the country's most common banknotes, or be sanctioned.
The contrast with the recent past is mind-blowing. During former President Olusegun Obasanjo's administration, when Atiku Abubakar served as Vice President, the naira traded at approximately ₦111 to ₦132 to the United States of America, USA, dollar. Today, under President Tinubu, it exchanges at well over ₦1,500 to a dollar.
Nigeria once had a currency that commanded global respect. When the naira was introduced in 1973, it was worth more than the US dollar. Today, under the clueless All Progressives Congress, APC, even the ₦100 note requires official protection to remain relevant. That is not progress; it is a measure of how far the economy has declined.
No government can legislate purchasing power. No Central Bank can prosecute inflation. And no amount of official warning can restore confidence in a currency whose value has been eroded by poor economic management.
"Atiku Is For The People" global movement believes that Nigerians deserve more than explanations for the hardship. They deserve a Leadership that understands economics; can restore Investor confidence, strengthen the naira, expand production, create jobs and return purchasing power to households.
The 2027 Presidential election offers that opportunity for Nigerians to make a change.
His Excellency, Atiku Abubakar, represents that credible alternative for that much needed positive change. His experience in economic management, commitment to private sector-led growth and vision for a productive Nigeria, provide the pathway to restoring confidence in the economy and dignity to the naira.

#ATIKU2027: Tension Everywhere, As Another "Federal Government" Takes Over Leadership Of Some Major Parts Of Nigeria; As President Bola Tinubu Technically Loses Power And Control As Commander-In-Chief; New Laws, New Taxes, Imposed On Nigerians Under The Brand New Leadership
For thousands of Farmers across Northern Nigeria, the biggest challenge this farming season is no longer drought or the rising cost of fertilizers. Instead, it is the growing power of Armed Bandits, who have effectively established a Parallel Authority with the Nigerian government, in many rural communities, forcing the helpless Farmers to pay illegal taxes, before they can access their farmlands.
This is the reality faced by millions of Farmers across the country, and it has become one of the clearest signs of the worsening Security crisis under President Bola Tinubu; with criminal gangs now exercising powers traditionally reserved for government Institutions, freely.
Rather than paying levies to local government authorities, many Farmers now hand over money directly to Armed Terrorist Groups, simply to stay alive and cultivate their crops.
The practice has spread across several Northern States, particularly Katsina, Sokoto, Zamfara and Yobe, where insecurity has continued to cripple farming activities. Reports indicate that entire communities are forced to negotiate with Bandits, who determine who farms, where they farm and how much they must pay before entering their fields.
In many affected communities, the Bandits have become de facto Rulers, imposing taxes, collecting revenues and enforcing compliance through fear and violence. Farmers who refuse to comply reportedly risk kidnapping, attacks or even death, leaving them with little choice, but to surrender part of their earnings to the criminal groups.
The situation goes beyond ordinary criminality. It represents the gradual erosion of government authority in several rural areas, and exposes the weakness of the President Tinubu administration, where armed gangs now dictate economic activities. This has raised serious concerns over the government's ability to guarantee security and protect the lives and livelihoods of the citizens.
The consequences extend far beyond the affected communities. Every illegal levy imposed on Farmers, ultimately increases the cost of food across the country. Having to pay Bandits taxes before planting and harvesting, Farmers are often left with no option, but to transfer the additional costs to the consumers, worsening inflation and making food increasingly unaffordable for millions of Nigerians.
The crisis has also discouraged many Farmers from cultivating their lands altogether. Fear of attacks, kidnappings and extortion, has forced numerous families to abandon fertile farmlands, reducing agricultural output at a time when Nigeria is already battling high food prices and growing hunger.
If left unchecked, Security Analysts warn that Criminal Groups could become even more deeply entrenched as alternative authorities in other regions of the country, just like the worsening kidnap-for-ransom. Beyond the immediate Security implications, the continued taxation of Farmers by Bandits, poses a significant threat to national food security, rural livelihoods and the country's economic stability.

#ATIKU2027: Great Tension!!! Atiku Abubakar "Confronts" President Bola Tinubu; Declares It Is Time For The Release Of Mallam Nasir El-Rufai; Says Enough Is Enough Of The Persecution Of Opposition Leaders And Dissenting Voices In Nigeria, Under The Undemocratic Ruling APC Federal Government
Former Vice President and 2027 Presidential Candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Atiku Abubakar, has on Thursday, issued a stark warning on the state of Nigeria’s democracy under President Bola Tinubu, declaring that the true measure of any democratic system, is not how comfortably those in power wield authority, but how safely those outside power can exercise their Constitutional rights.
Speaking in an interview with Vanguard, published today, Atiku emphasised that democratic health is tested not by the strength of incumbents, but by the protection afforded to opposition voices and critics of government.
The former Vice President’s remarks come amid growing concerns over the treatment of political opponents, particularly following the continued detention of former Kaduna State Governor and ADC Chieftain, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai.
Atiku framed his comments as a broader reflection on democratic resilience, arguing that, the safety of dissenting voices is the real benchmark of political maturity.
He said: “The strength of a democracy is not measured by how securely those in power hold on to authority. It is measured by how safely those outside power can speak, assemble and organise, without fear.”
He therefore, renewed his call for the immediate and unconditional release of Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, who remains in detention unconstitutionally, over alleged Security-related charges.
Atiku declared: “Nasir El-Rufai must be released now.
“No democracy thrives when its Critics are locked away. Detention without clear, credible charges, is not governance; it is intimidation.”
El-Rufai’s continued detention has drawn criticism from Civil Society groups, Legal bodies and opposition parties, who argue that his detention undermines the Constitutional guaranty of a fair trial and free expression, in the country.
Atiku speaking further, stated: “The world is watching Nigeria. Our democratic credentials are not built on election results alone, they are built on how we treat those who disagree with us.”
He added that history would judge Leaders not by their tenure, but by whether they allowed dissent to flourish without fear.
Reacting, Civil Society Organisations, CSOs, have largely welcomed Atiku’s intervention. The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, SERAP, described his statement as “a timely reminder of the fragility of democratic norms in Nigeria”.
As pressure mounts on the Federal Government to clarify the status of El-Rufai and ensure the safety of opposition figures, Atiku’s words are likely to amplify debates over political tolerance, Constitutional rights and the future of Nigeria’s democracy.
With 2027 already casting its shadow, the treatment of high-profile Opposition Leaders may well define not only the political climate, but also the legacy of the Tinubu Presidency.
For now, Atiku’s message is clear: In a true democracy, the safety of the out-of-power is the ultimate test, and “nothing must happen” to those who dare to oppose.

#ATIKU2027: BREAKING!!! Democracy In Danger!!! Atiku Abubakar Puts Party Politics Aside; Quickly Blocks The "Arrest" And Alleged "Assassination" Of His "Political God Son", Peter Obi; Gives President Bola Tinubu And His Entire APC Gang A Serious Warning; Declares That Nothing Must Happen To The NDC 2027 Presidential Candidate, Others, Or...
His Excellency, former Vice President and 2027 Presidential Candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Atiku Abubakar, has on Thursday, warned the President Bola Tinubu Federal Government, that it would be held responsible, if anything happens to the 2027 Presidential Candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, and former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, amid what he described as a growing pattern of intimidation against opposition figures in the country, under the current administration.
Atiku's warning followed Peter Obi's recent claim that he might not be alive to contest the 2027 Presidential election, because of what he alleged were sustained efforts by the current administration to frustrate and silence him.
In a strongly worded statement posted on his verified X account, Atiku linked Peter Obi's fears to the recent allegations by a former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, who accused unnamed Federal authorities of plotting to arrest Opposition Leaders in the country.
Atiku said that the convergence of Peter Obi's fears and El-Rufai's claims, painted a disturbing picture for Nigeria's democracy.
His exact words: "Peter Obi's alarm over an alleged plot against his life, and the accusation by Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, alleging that the Federal Government is planning to arrest Opposition Leaders, should trouble every Nigerian who cares about democracy, justice and the rule of law."
The former Vice President also warned that the alleged intimidation of Opposition Leaders, could undermine democratic freedoms and political competition, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
"These are not isolated complaints. They point to a dangerous pattern of intimidation and persecution, aimed at silencing dissent and criminalising legitimate opposition", he noted.
Atiku stressed that every Nigerian, regardless of political affiliation, has a Constitutional right to participate freely in the nation's democratic process, without fear.
"Let it be clear: the Nigerian Constitution guarantees every citizen the right to life, liberty and political participation. These rights are not optional. They are fundamental. A democracy cannot function when those who hold alternative views are hounded, threatened or made to fear for their lives", he stated.
He further declared that the responsibility for Peter Obi's safety, rests squarely on the Federal Government.
Atiku declared: "I therefore, state unequivocally, that the Federal Government must be held accountable, if any harm comes to Peter Obi or any other Opposition Leader. The safety and freedom of every political actor, regardless of party affiliation, are the bedrock of a democratic society."
Calling for restraint, Atiku urged President Bola Tinubu's administration to reject any attempt to weaponise State Institutions against perceived political opponents.
"I urge the Tinubu administration to end the politics of fear and repression. The State must never be used as a tool to settle political scores. This climate of anxiety is unacceptable, and has no place in the Nigeria, we aspire to build", he stressed.
He concluded by calling on Nigerians and the International Community, to remain vigilant in defence of democratic values.
"We call on all Nigerians, Civil Society Organisations and the International Community, to remain vigilant, and speak out against any action that threatens our democracy. Nigeria's future depends on a political environment where ideas, not intimidation, determine Leadership."

#ATIKU2027: APC Receives Major Danger Signals Ahead Of 2027, Millions Of Supporters Secretly Move To Vote Atiku Abubakar, As New Revelation Shows That President Bola Tinubu Has Secured A Gigantic $11.4 Billion World Bank Loans In Just 3 Years; Amounting To 80 Percent Of The Total $14.59 Billion Loans Borrowed By Former President Muhammadu Buhari In His Entire 8 Years In Office
President Bola Tinubu's administration is borrowing at a pace unmatched in Nigeria's history. Yet, for millions of Nigerians battling with soaring food prices, shrinking incomes, business closures and deepening poverty, one question grows louder: What is there to show for it?
Fresh data has exposed the scale of the borrowing under President Tinubu.
President Tinubu's Federal Government has secured $11.4 billion in World Bank loan approvals, in just three years; already about 80 percent of the $14.59 billion approved throughout former President Muhammadu Buhari's eight-year administration.
At this current pace, President Tinubu is on track to surpass that record, even before the end of his first term in Office.
However, the World Bank borrowings are only a part of the story.
According to reports, the President Tinubu administration borrowed about N65.9 trillion in its first 24 months, pushing Nigeria's total public debt to N159.28 trillion; more than the cumulative debt recorded during the country's first 55 years, after Independence in 1960.
Borrowing is not necessarily a problem; as governments across the world rely on loans to finance infrastructure, drive economic growth and bridge fiscal deficits. The real test however, is whether the borrowed funds translate into visible improvements in citizens' lives.
This is where millions of Nigerians believe the President Tinubu administration is falling short.
Even more striking is that, although the World Bank has approved $11.4 billion in loans, only about $2.32 billion has been disbursed as at the latest update, raising further questions about the pace of implementation, and when citizens will begin to feel the impact.
Government Officials argue that many of the projects financed through these loans covering infrastructure, agriculture, healthcare, education and social protection, require time before their benefits become evident. However, that may not be completely true.
As the country's debt burden climbs to unprecedented levels, citizens are looking for equally unprecedented results, better roads, stable electricity, quality healthcare, safer and well-equipped schools, more jobs and lower living costs.
Until those gains become visible, the President Tinubu administration will continue to face a difficult question: If Nigeria is borrowing more than ever before, why are so many Nigerians still experiencing less than ever before? Also, millions of initial supporters of the President will continue to secretly seek for an alternative in Atiku Abubakar, for a better future for them and their families, come 2027.

#ATIKU2027: Very Bad International News For APC!!! World Leaders Continue To Say "NO" To A Bola Tinubu 2027 Presidency, As IMF Releases Another Damning Report Against The Federal Government; Declares That Despite All The Approved Loans, Poverty In Nigeria Has Risen To About 63 Percent, While Approximately 27 Million Nigerians Continue To Experience Food insecurity
Emerging report from the International Monetary Fund, IMF, released on Wednesday, indicates that rising prices of essential goods in the country, could push more Nigerians into poverty and worsen food insecurity, despite improvements in the country's macroeconomic outlook.
The warning highlighted a growing paradox in Africa's largest economy. While key economic indicators suggest that reforms embarked upon by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Federal Government are beginning to stabilise public finances, millions of Nigerians continue to battle with one of the worst cost-of-living crisis in recent history.
In its latest assessment, the IMF cautioned that inflation, particularly the rising cost of essential goods, remains a major threat to households welfare.
The report reads in part: "Higher prices of essential goods could deepen poverty and worsen food insecurity."
Although, the IMF projected Nigeria's economy to grow by about 4.1 percent in 2026, on the back of ongoing reforms, stronger external reserves and improving Investor confidence, yet millions of Nigerians remain trapped in economic hardship.
According to the IMF, poverty has risen to about 63 percent, while approximately 27 million Nigerians experience food insecurity, illustrating the widening disconnect between economic progress on paper and realities in households across the country.
The warning comes amid persistent increase in the prices of food, transportation, cooking gas, electricity and other basic necessities.
Recent market surveys also indicate that cooking gas now sells for around ₦2,400 per kilogram, in many parts of the country, while prices of staple foods remain beyond the reach of many low-income households.
For many Nigerians, the economic reforms embarked by President Tinubu have translated into declining real incomes, rather than improved welfare. Wage growth has remained largely stagnant, while living costs continue to climb, leaving millions increasingly vulnerable.
Despite these concerns, the IMF maintained that the reforms introduced by the Federal Government, including exchange-rate liberalisation and fiscal adjustments, have helped to bring Nigerians out of poverty.
Moreover, the IMF stressed that reforms alone would not be enough without stronger social protection measures capable of shielding vulnerable households from the immediate impact of rising prices.
The IMF therefore, urged the government to expand targeted social safety nets, including cash transfers and other interventions designed to cushion the effects of inflation on poor and vulnerable Nigerians.
The IMF latest assessment suggests that the success of Nigeria's reform agenda will not be judged solely by improved fiscal indicators or GDP growth projections, but by whether ordinary citizens begin to experience lower food prices, improved purchasing power and meaningful reliefs from the country's prolonged cost-of-living crisis.

#ATIKU2027: BREAKING!!! Peter Obi Receives "Marching Order" To Immediately Step Down From The 2027 Presidential Race For The Fearless Atiku Abubakar; Instead Of Risking His Precious Life And Crying To The World About The Possibility Of Being Killed, Before The Real Presidential Election Campaigns Even Begin
"Atiku Is For The People" global movement, has carefully noted Wednesday's public comments by Peter Obi, the 2027 Presidential Candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, expressing fears about his personal safety, as political activities gather momentum, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
"Atiku Is For The People" global movement, without any reservations, condemns every form of political violence, intimidation, or threat against any Nigerian, in an election season. Democracy must be contested with ideas, persuasion and the ballot; not fear.
Nonetheless, Peter Obi's remarks raise an important political question that deserves honest reflection.
Why is Peter Obi risking his precious life to contest for a Presidential election he knows he cannot win? It is like a Junior Secondary School Student wasting his time to write a University examination he knows fully well he cannot pass.
How about Peter Obi stepping down and supporting His Excellency, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, for the 2027 Presidency, for a better Nigeria for all Nigerians, including those Obi represents?
The reality of Nigeria's Presidential elections is well established. Success depends on broad national acceptance, formidable grassroots structure, strategic alliances across the six geopolitical zones, and the Constitutional spread required to secure victory. No opposition Candidate, regardless of personal popularity, can afford to ignore these political realities.
This is precisely why Atiku Abubakar has devoted his efforts to building bridges, strengthening alliances and encouraging a broad-based opposition coalition, capable of presenting Nigerians with a credible and united alternative.
The challenge before the opposition is not who is more popular on any given day; it is who can assemble the national coalition required to win and govern effectively, which is inherent in Atiku.
At a time when millions of Nigerians are struggling with rising living costs, unemployment and insecurity, Peter Obi owes the country a duty to support Atiku for a better Nigeria; as divided opposition forces only increase the likelihood of another fractured electoral contest.
"Atiku Is For The People" global movement, therefore, calls on Peter Obi to place national interest above individual aspiration. If his overriding concern is the future of Nigeria, then this is the moment to embrace political realism, support a united opposition front, and work alongside Atiku Abubakar to build the broad coalition needed to deliver democratic change, come 2027.
Leadership is measured not only by the courage to contest elections, but also by the wisdom to make difficult decisions when national interest demands them.
Nigeria needs a united opposition. Nigeria needs a winning coalition. Nigeria cannot afford another divided mandate, come 2027.
Signed: "Atiku Is For The People" global movement.

#ATIKU2027: BREAKING!!! Atiku Abubakar Fights Back, Moves To Block President Bola Tinubu From Appointing His Questionable Chief Of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, As The Chairman Of The Presidential Working Group On The National Policing Bill; Alerts World Leaders, Other Lovers Of Democracy, About The Massive Ongoing Corruption Under The APC Presidency
His Excellency, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has on Wednesday, described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's appointment of his Chief of Staff, CoS, Femi Gbajabiamila, as Chairman of the Presidential Working Group on the National Policing Bill, as a clear vote of confidence, that exposes the alleged investigation into the controversial Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council, PFIPC, saga as a mere smokescreen.
The reaction came through his Media Adviser, Paul Ibe, in a post on X, shortly after the Presidency announced Gbajabiamila's appointment to lead the Committee tasked with driving the National Policing Bill.
According to Atiku, the President's decision to hand another strategic national assignment to his Chief of Staff, at a time when allegations are still swirling around the so-called PFIPC controversy, undermines the credibility of reports that the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission, ICPC, had been directed to investigate the matter.
Atiku said: "This is the confirmation that the so-called Tinubu-ordered 'fake' Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council, PFIPC, probe by the ICPC investigation is a smokescreen."
He revealed further that, rather than allowing any investigation to run its course, President Tinubu had effectively demonstrated his unwavering confidence in Gbajabiamila, by elevating him to another sensitive national assignment.
"The President's appointment of Femi Gbajabiamila as Chairman of Presidential Working Group on the National Policing Bill on the same day he nudged the ICPC to probe the #GbajaGate scandal, is a morally reprehensible vote of confidence in his Chief of Staff, who has been accused of collecting bribe for position by Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew, the man at the centre of the PFIPC saga", he added.
Atiku also criticised the decision to allow the Chief of Staff to inaugurate the same Committee on behalf of the President, describing it as an action that sends the wrong signal about accountability in Public Office.
"And to rub pepper into the open sore, the Chief of Staff was the one who inaugurated the Working Group on behalf of the President. Tinubu, by this telling action, appears to be urging Gbajabiamila to go and sin more", he stated.
The latest appointment of Gbajabiamila by President Tinubu, at this every sensitive time, has indeed added another layer to the ongoing controversy; with Atiku insisting that the President's action amounts to an unmistakable vote of confidence in his Chief of Staff, despite the cloud of allegations.

#ATIKU2027: President Bola Tinubu May Never Receive Another World Bank Loan, As Nigeria Is Declared The "Headquarters" Of Poverty In Africa, And Africa's Newest Most Lucrative Criminal Enterprise Base For Kidnapping-For-Ransom, Under The Current APC Leadership
The recent assertion by Veteran Journalist and Politician, Dele Momodu, that "insecurity and hardship have never been this bad in Nigeria's history", has reignited debates over the country's worsening socio-economic and security conditions under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking during an interview, on Monday, Momodu had lamented what he described as the unprecedented sufferings confronting Nigerians, arguing that the country has reached one of its darkest moments since Independence.
A review of official data from government Agencies and International Institutions, shows that several key indicators have deteriorated sharply in recent years under President Tinubu.
According to the World Bank, over 129 million Nigerians now live below the national poverty line, representing more than half of the country's population.
The World Bank has also repeatedly warned that inflation, sluggish economic growth and declining purchasing power, continue to push millions more into poverty, annually.
Figures released by the National Bureau of Statistics, NBS, have consistently shown food inflation as among the highest in decades.
Basic food items including: rice, beans, yam, tomatoes, as well as cooking gas, have recorded multiple price increases over the last three years.
For many households, wages have failed to keep pace with rising living costs, forcing families to cut spending on healthcare, education and nutrition.
Economic Analysts attribute the situation to persistent inflation, naira depreciation, insecurity affecting farming communities and high transportation costs.
Momodu's remarks also come against the backdrop of persistent Security challenges across Nigeria. Despite government efforts, attacks by armed groups, kidnappers and criminal gangs, continue to affect communities in the North-West, North Central and parts of the South-East and South-West.
According to data compiled by the Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project, Nigeria has continued to record thousands of violent incidents annually, involving insurgency, banditry, communal clashes and kidnappings.
The country's kidnapping-for-ransom industry has become one of Africa's most lucrative criminal enterprises, with Schools, highways and rural communities, remaining frequent targets.
Security Experts say that widespread displacement has also reduced agricultural production, contributing directly to food shortages and rising prices. Unemployment, underemployment and declining real wages, continue to affect millions of young Nigerians.
Businesses have also struggled with rising electricity costs, foreign exchange shortages, high interest rates and declining consumer purchasing power.
Many manufacturers have either scaled down operations, or relocated production to neighbouring countries.
Last year's nationwide demonstrations against hunger and economic hardship, reflected widespread frustration over soaring living costs, unemployment and insecurity.
This indices appear to underpin Momodu's argument that Nigerians are experiencing an unprecedented level of hardship since the emergence of Bola Tinubu as President of Nigeria, in 2023.

#ATIKU2027: Major Crack In APC, As National Assembly Leadership Turns Against President Bola Tinubu's Presidency; "Confesses" That They Have No Idea How The Fake Federal Agency (PFIPC) Magically Appeared In The 2026 National Budget With Allocation In Billions Of Naira; Declares That The Executive Must Explain To The World
The National Assembly has unwittingly indicted President Bola Tinubu's Presidency, by distancing itself from the controversy surrounding the alleged inclusion of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, PFIPC, in the 2026 Appropriation Act, insisting that it neither created, nor inserted the Agency into the Federal budget.
The Senate's position effectively shifted full responsibility to the Presidency, saying that the Executive should explain how the Agency found its way into the national budget, despite widespread allegations that it is a non-existent government body.
Addressing Journalists after Tuesday's plenary, the Senate Spokesman, Yemi Adaramodu, stated that the National Assembly had no role in the creation or funding of the controversial Agency, stressing that, Lawmakers could not be blamed for its appearance in the budget.
According to him, the issue is an internal matter within the Presidency, and falls outside the Senate's immediate Legislative responsibility, unless a formal petition is presented before the Chamber.
Adaramodu maintained that the Senate would not be drawn into the controversy, emphasising that no petition concerning the PFIPC has been officially submitted for Legislative consideration.
The Senate's statement marks the first official response from the National Assembly, since the controversy erupted over the Agency's inclusion in the 2026 budget.
The development comes amid growing public scrutiny over the PFIPC, with conflicting claims emerging from within the Presidency, regarding the Agency's existence, legal status, and the circumstances surrounding its budgetary allocation.
By declaring that Lawmakers neither established, nor inserted the Agency into the 2026 Appropriation Act, the National Assembly has placed the burden of explanation squarely on President Tinubu's administration, intensifying calls for greater transparency over the controversial budget entry.
The latest position is expected to fuel further debates over accountability in Nigeria's budgeting process, as the citizens continue to await an official explanation from the Presidency, on how the disputed Agency came to be listed in the 2026 national budget.

#ATIKU2027: BREAKING!!! More Trouble For President Bola Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila, Other Top Nigerian Government Officials, As United States Government Under President Donald J. Trump, Set To Open Investigation Into The Alleged Fake Federal Agency Massive Loot; To Specifically Determine If Government Officials Conspired To Defraud The United States By Diverting World Bank Funds For Corruption Purposes
Emerging report indicates that an American Political Strategist and International Affairs Commentator, Dr. Karl Von Batten, through his Firm, Von Batten-Montague-York, L.C., has formally urged the administration of the United States of America, USA, President, Donald J. Trump, as well as the US Congress, to expand their scrutiny of Nigeria, to include allegations involving President Bola Tinubu, Senior Government Officials, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, the Judiciary, and the recent alleged diversion of U.S.-linked international funds.
In a statement on Tuesday night, Nigerian time, published on X, the Firm said that it was reviewing whether funding linked to the World Bank Group may have benefited an allegedly fictitious Nigerian Presidential Agency that reportedly received a ₦1.3 billion allocation in the national budget.
The statement read in part: "The recently exposed fake Nigerian Presidential Agency received a ₦1.3 billion allocation in the Nigerian national budget, a budget that included financing from the @WorldBankGroup. We are now reviewing whether U.S.-linked World Bank and other international funding may have been received by or benefited the alleged fake Agency."
The Firm further alleged that the individual arrested in connection with the controversial Agency, had implicated Senior Nigerian Government Officials, including the President's Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, in an alleged kickback arrangement.
"The individual arrested in connection with the alleged fake Agency has accused Senior Nigerian Government Officials, including Femi Gbajabiamila, President Tinubu's Chief of Staff, of being a key figure in the alleged scheme and of requesting a total of ₦600 million in kickbacks", the statement added.
The US Firm also noted that it was formally requesting the President Trump administration and Members of the US Congress to broaden their review beyond election-related concerns, to include what it described as a possible conspiracy to defraud the United States, through the alleged diversion of U.S.-linked development funding.
"The Donald Trump Administration and Congress have been collecting information concerning alleged efforts by President Tinubu's government, its Associates within INEC, the Nigerian Judiciary, and Non-Governmental Actors to rig the upcoming election. We are now officially lobbying for the investigation to be expanded to include a possible conspiracy by senior members of the Tinubu government to defraud the United States by participating in a scheme to illegally obtain or divert U.S.-linked funding", the Firm stated.
The statement was addressed to Senior Officials of the President Trump administration, the US State Department, Congressional Foreign Affairs Committees, Influential Lawmakers and several International Media Organisations, underscoring what appears to be an intensified effort to draw international attention to the allegations, ahead of Nigeria's 2027 general elections.
The latest intervention marks a significant escalation in the international dimension of Nigeria's political contest.
At the time of filing in this report, however, there has been no official confirmation from the White House, the US Congress, the US State Department, or any US Investigative Agency, that a formal investigation has been opened into President Bola Tinubu, Senior Nigerian Government Officials, INEC, or members of the Judiciary, over the allegations contained in the US Firm's statement.

#ATIKU2027: GREAT TENSION!!! The Biggest Protest Set To Erupt Nationwide, As President Bola Tinubu "Rewards" His Questionable Chief Of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, With Another Very Juicy Appointment, Despite The Ongoing Multi-Billion Naira Fake Federal Agency Controversy; Technically Declares That The CoS Cannot Be Touched
Millions of Nigerians nationwide are highly disappointed with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's decision to entrust his Chief of Staff, CoS, Femi Gbajabiamila, with another influential national assignment, amid the ongoing corruption allegations hovering around him.
On Tuesday night, the President inaugurated the Presidential Working Group on the National Policing Bill, appointing Gbajabiamila to chair the Committee that will draft the legal framework for the implementation of State Police.
Ordinarily, the announcement should have dominated headlines as a milestone in the country's long-running push for State Policing. However, the appointment has sparked fresh debates, because it comes at a time when Gbajabiamila remains the subject of public controversies, over corruption allegations that have circulated worldwide.
Despite the calls from eminent Nigerians for the Chief of Staff's suspension, to allow for full scale investigation, President Tinubu has remained unwavering in retaining him.
The Committee chaired by Gbajabiamila has been tasked with helping to build the legal foundation for a Policing system expected to embody accountability, transparency, human rights protections and public trust.
Yet, the appointment itself has become a test of those same principles in the eyes of many observers.
Under Nigeria's Constitution, the President has wide discretion to appoint those he considers capable of carrying out national assignments; and also has a moral obligation to ensure that those he appoints are free from corruption baggage.
When an administration that has repeatedly pledged to strengthen Institutions, chooses to reward a close Ally at a moment of heightened public scrutiny, it inevitably invites questions about whether accountability applies equally at every level of that government.
Many Nigerians who feel disappointed with President Tinubu's action, maintain that the Presidency could have reinforced confidence in its commitment to transparency, by allowing any publicly raised concerns to be independently examined, before assigning another national significant role.
Such a decision, they contend, would not have amounted to a declaration of guilt, but rather an affirmation that public confidence matters; particularly when the Official involved occupies one of the highest Offices in the country.
The challenge for the President Tinubu administration is that the debate surrounding Gbajabiamila's appointment now threatens to overshadow the significance of the State Police Initiative. Rather than discussing the merits of decentralised Policing, public discourse has become more focused on whether the government is applying the same standards of accountability that it expects from the Institutions it is reforming.

#ATIKU2027: New Evidence From The Aso Rock Villa Shows President Bola Tinubu Is In Serious Panic Mode That Atiku Abubakar Will Disgrace Him At The 2027 Presidential Polls With A Historic Defeat; Begins To Make Desperate Moves To Prevent Him From Becoming Another One Term President, Come 2027
The Governor of Benue State, Hyacinth Alia's declaration that he would deliver 620,000 votes from his State to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 Presidential election, has been described by many as hollow and empty, and has further exposed the panic in the Aso Rock Villa, about the coming elections.
The Governor, had on Monday, made the pledge at the Villa, after meeting with President Bola Tinubu, as he promised to double the 310,468 votes President Tinubu secured in the State, during the 2023 Presidential election.
Although, every Politician is entitled to optimism, elections are not won through Presidential photo opportunities or ambitious projections. They are decided by the people, and the people of Benue State are asking difficult questions about Security, the economy, soaring costs of living and the worsening hardship confronting families everyday.
Rather than making mathematical promises just few months before an election, the Governor should explain how a State battling repeated attacks on farming communities, widespread displacements and declining economic opportunities, will suddenly produce double the votes for an administration many residents believe has failed to address their most pressing concerns.
Across Benue State, thousands of citizens are increasingly aligning with His Excellency, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, because they are looking beyond slogans. They are demanding for a Leadership with the experience, competence and economic vision, to restore livelihoods, create jobs, secure farming communities and rebuild confidence in the government.
The All Progressives Congress' growing obsession with vote projections, only reflects its anxiety over the changing political mood in Benue State and other States around the country. Political endorsements by Office holders cannot substitute for the freely expressed will of voters.
History has repeatedly shown that electorates make their own decisions when they enter the polling booth, not the empty promises of sitting Governors.
Millions of Nigerians who love Atiku in Benue State, are focused on engaging communities across Benue's 23 Local Government Areas, listening to citizens, presenting practical solutions and building a broad-based movement rooted in hope, rather than propaganda.
No State Governor can allocate votes. No political promise can override the democratic choice of the people, except they plan to rig the elections.
In 2027, the people of Benue State, and not political declarations, will determine who earns their mandate.
