@WBHatesTheGOP Would you have been happier had they just ignored the whole thing? I thought that was a real possibility. I've known Pelley for years, dating to time in DFW. Against his firing & Weiss will not wear well. But sometimes a little credit is due in these super-polarized times.
Knicks looking like they would have beaten anyone this season, including OKC. En route to what looks like a magical season. All the ingredients there. But Fox should not have been in there during those key closing minutes.
Full credit to the Knicks and their Mr. Clutch, Jalen Brunson. No problems with the officiating. Just a hard-fought, great game that went to the Knicks. Wemby also excelled down the stretch until a big turnover. But it was Fox's close-in miss (yet another one) that killed SA.
Harper should be in there instead of Fox, who just missed another key close-in shot. Still not 100%, but those are shots you just can't miss in a 2-point game. And now it's a 4-point game.
A half-assed kid runs out on the court and takes a selfie of himself while being apprehended. Throw him in the cooler and let him sit there for at least a week.
Brunson's carrying the day again for Knicks. Few if any superiors at clutch time. Lots of time left, but Spurs need a big answer pretty soon. Particularly from the Big Man.
Advance warning: If Brunson can't come back tonight, Thunder dolts will say it's the only reason Spurs won, if they win. But SA was up by 10 when Brunson left early in the 1st quarter and save for his opening 3, they'd shackled him. Anyway, looks like he's coming back.
The CBS Evening News has plunged in the weekly Nielsen ratings since new News prez Bari Weiss remodeled it. It's no longer even remotely competitive with the competition on ABC/NBC. 60 Minutes remains in Nielsen's top 10 week after week, but Weiss is hellbent on "revamping" it.
To the credit of CBS News and particularly the "Evening News," the fired Scott Pelley got a significant sendoff on tonight's edition. In fact, it was more of a tribute. They certainly didn't just blow it off, with anchor Tony Dokoupil saying "Thank you" to Pelley at the end.
@berniewheels Sure, "Bernie." And I'll bet you $1,000 that the CBS Evening News will never overtake either NBC or ABC under Bari Weiss's watch. You down with that? Put your money where your real name should be.
