@IGN For those kind of Day One sales, you can’t give people a reason to hesitate — and $80 is gonna make a lot of their audience hesitate. Not saying they won’t buy it at all, but they don’t click that pre-order button and they keep putting it off until they see everyone else playing.
@IGN $70, special editions will not include early access.
$80 wouldn’t kill sales long term, but would absolutely cut the insane record-breaking launch that Rockstar wants to tote. They want 20 million copies and $1.5 Billion on Day One. (Cont.)
@geoffkeighley Sticking to games with an official date (otherwise it’s always the next Zelda/Persona/FromSoft game)
1. Fable
2. GTA VI
3. Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse
@chromeowls@Master0fHyrule Had to be there.
In combat sports, we’d call it the Pound for Pound greatest. A small fighter can decimate their weight class while losing to an average fighter twice their size.
OoT is not amazing because it holds up 💯% today, but because it was earth shattering at its time.
@Master0fHyrule I absolutely adored OoT when I first played it in 2001. But subsequent playthroughs have frustrated me with how slow and limited the game is. I don’t mean over-tutorialization (like TP/SS), but literally how slow the moment to moment gameplay is, especially combat.
@hadesplutoo@Ever_Green_Bean@_TK_555555 Nobody needs to defend their opinion. They’ve stated what they don’t like about it, whether someone wants to give examples is up to them.
If they’re making video essays or doing a podcast, yeah they should be giving more than that but this is Twitter. Who cares?
@TheHiddenOneAC Pokopia so far, but after just a couple hours in Mina the Hollower I have a feeling that’s gonna change.
Have not played 007 yet, gonna be a minute still.
@luscielia Well, trouble is every game on this list is at least a 9/10 except for Spider-Man 2 and Crimson Desert, and few people try to claim those are top-tier.
I would say either Expedition 33 is overrated in terms of novelty or TLOU 2 getting GOTY’s against Hades, FF7R, ACNH, or GoT.
@serenade_sun Truuuuue, but I get the Sonic Frontiers things. Definitely not trash but man, that game needed a more steady hand at the helm in terms of direction.
