People's National Party General Secretary, Dr. Dayton Campbell, has agreed to publicly apologise to Cabinet Minister Daryl Vaz and to pay $1.5 million in costs, settling a defamation claim Vaz brought against him nearly three years ago.
The voluntary out-of-court settlement was signed on Wednesday.

Dancehall artiste Chronic Law, whose given name is Ackeme Jermane Campbell, has reportedly been arrested again in Florida.
According to a Broward County jail booking record, Campbell was taken into custody on July 5 and is being held for the U.S. Marshals Service on an allegation of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

More than 50 Cuban nurses are expected to arrive in Jamaica as the Government works to strengthen staffing across the public healthcare system amid ongoing nursing shortages.
Their arrival follows months of discussions between the Jamaican and Cuban governments after the previous medical cooperation agreement ended earlier this year.
Health officials say the additional nurses will provide much-needed support to hospitals and other public health facilities, helping improve healthcare services while addressing critical staffing shortages across the island.
