We dropped a nuclear bomb on Japan, twice, and 80 years later they light up their cities in our colors as a show of how much they love us.
Meanwhile, we bailed half of Europe out, twice, and their governments take every last opportunity to signal how much they despise us.
@DrewFranklinKSR Get the Weber slate. I’ve only been down the rabbit hole of griddles on YouTube for ages. The slate is top notch. The one at Ace Hardware has all kinds of accessories.
This Malik Tillman strike will live on forever in USMNT history.
Couple that with the heart & guts of a team that spent half an hour down a man in a knockout game yet still posted a clean sheet and it’s a performance that unites a country.
What a win. 🇺🇸
While I cannot stand most of our current President’s decorating style, I begrudgingly admit that I actually like the new color scheme of the new Air Force 1. I think it’s an upgrade from the baby blue.
Got a new work computer. Windows of course. Never mind it’s a big chunky thinkpad that is the ugliest laptop ever designed. But is this the best you can do Microsoft? An hour in and my computer is still updating. And I haven’t even gotten my corp apps installed yet. I want my Mac!! Apple just does it better.
CNN: "We are just living in such a different universe if you‘re a Republican versus a Democrat, on the basic fundamental question of being proud to be an American."
Democrat leaders are brainwashing their voters to hate America.
Did a single person notice any improvements in their daily life thanks to this massive injection of charitable giving?
No. Because it all, 100%, vanished into the bottomless coffers of the most corrupt and useless NGOs on the planet.
Tipping culture is very easy.
If you go into a place that has a hostess, you sit down at a table and get waited on…you tip 20% if the service was acceptable. Less if the waiter sucks.
If you go into a bar you tip your bartender generally a dollar a drink.
Every other instance of tipping like at Starbucks or chicken joints like Foosackleys you press “no tip” with a smile on your face.
If I don’t like Apple’s price hikes, I can take my business elsewhere. I can buy a Samsung phone or a Dell laptop.
On the other hand, if I don’t approve of the taxes Sen. Sanders enacts… I’m screwed. I pay them at gunpoint or I go to prison.
So maybe sit this one out, Bernie.
Watching the World Cup has me asking questions. Do Europeans get issued 8 weeks of vacation, unlimited airline miles, and a trust fund at birth? Because every match I turn on there are 40,000 fans following their team to a different state or country on a Tuesday afternoon while Americans are hiding in a work bathroom checking scores.
There's the World Cup and a whole bunch of other shit going on, please seek out a therapist if you're spending more than a few moments thinking about the White House Reflecting Pool.
NYT headline yesterday:
A driver in a Tesla vehicle that was engaged in automated driver-assistance mode crashed into a house in Texas and killed a woman.
Today: Tesla logs confirm the driver manually overrode the self-driving system and had the accelerator floored the entire time.
The first headline (lie) gets all the clicks.
The facts get overlooked.
And the NYT doesn't bother with a correction because it doesn't fit their narrative.
