We stayed lawful.

We fought for every opportunity we have.
We still do
We are people contributing to this country every day.
Lift the pause!
The USCIS pause is putting Iranian students and workers at risk of losing status and being forced back to Iran—where they could face persecution from the brutal Islamic Republic regime or renewed conflict.
@SenMarkey and I led our colleagues to demand answers and immediate protections for Iranians in the U.S. who cannot safely return home.
Are you an Iranian student, worker, or resident affected by the USCIS adjudication pause?
The #USCISPause impacts thousands of Iranians with dire consequences — expired work authorizations, travel delays, job loss threats, disrupted academic programs, and family separation. IALDF is collecting more information to support education and legal efforts.

@FoxNews Thats just story of our lives. Stay there you die. Immigrate to USA, study and make and honest living then USCIS pauses your immigration benefits. Why nobody is talking about this?
In the midst of a catastrophic war and escalating repression in Iran, the Trump Administration is halting immigration processing and legal status pathways for Iranian nationals, including students and professionals already in the United States.
Because visa processing and immigration benefit applications are now frozen, many Iranians studying and working here could lose their legal status and be forced to return to a country where they may face serious danger.
I’m working on a series of actions to demand immediate protections for Iranians in the U.S., including safeguards for students and others whose lives would be at risk in Iran.
Thank you @SecRubio for your thoughtful leadership. This action supports U.S. national security while underscoring the importance of distinguishing between regime affiliates and the many law-abiding Iranians who contribute positively to society.
Iranian students and professionals truly represent the pursuit of the American dream. They often spend their entire family’s savings to move to the U.S. legally, to pursue higher education and become valuable contributors to this country.
The USCIS pause not only shatters their American dream, but also prevents the country from benefiting from the investment it has already made in these individuals.
Everyone agrees that more rigorous background checks should be conducted to ensure safety. But what these individuals are asking is to #LiftTheHold and resume the process, including administrative processing if needed.
We urge you, @SecMullinDHS, to lift the hold and allow their American dreams to continue and to let their potential drive the future of this country.

@SecRubio Thank you Sec Rubio… It is disheartening to see past administrations let these people in and let them stay. Thanks for your commitment and hard work. God Bless USA
Until recently, Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter were green card holders living lavishly in the United States.
Afshar is the niece of deceased Iranian Major General Qasem Soleimani. She is also an outspoken supporter of the Iranian regime who celebrated attacks on Americans and referred to our country as the "Great Satan."
This week, I terminated both Afshar and her daughter's legal status and they are now in ICE custody, pending removal from the United States.
The Trump Administration will not allow our country to become a home for foreign nationals who support anti-American terrorist regimes.
