@GaijinBaseball Impossible to schedule since the AL and NL each have an odd number of teams (15) which necessitates at least 1 interleague pairing every (full) gameday.
MLB needs to add 2 teams (1 in each league) to make it happen.
@NPB_Reddit If they do expand to 16, I hope each league does one single standings table of 8 teams instead of the MLB format of dividing 8 teams into 2 divisions of 4 teams each.
@NPB_Reddit This weekend will be the final Interleague games hosted by the CL where pitchers will bat. Historians will likely keep track of which pitchers will be the last to get a base hit, walk, at bat/plate appearance, etc.
@yakyucosmo Reember Imai also threw a combined no-hitter last season against the Hawks.
Pitched 8 innings with Taira closing out the 9th.
Imai did give up a run in the 7th inning as the Lions won 2-1.
@PacificSwings Just over half way through the month but having made his season debut on May 1 he's very much in contention to win the Pacific League's MVP of the Month for May. Stay tuned.
@PacificSwings Since you were able to get Kaima Taira for an interview, how about Yuki Nomura of the Fighters? Born in Michigan, his full name is Yuki James Nomura. Apparently his nickname is 'Jay' and his English proficiency rated 7 on a 10-point scale while in high school in Japan.
@LouisAnalysis His full name is Yuki James Nomura, born in Michigan while his father worked in the U.S. for a car-related company. The family moved back to Japan when Yuki was 1-1/2 years old. His nickname is Jay, and in high school his English proficiency rated 7 on a 10-point scale.
@yakyucosmo@WorldBaseball_ He only faced 28 Swallows batters, just one over the minimum.
This was because he was able to induced double play grounders to end the 4th and 9th innings.
@yakyucosmo Is part of the reason some of the more talented high school players choose MiLB or NCAA is the fear of being drafted by the Hawks or Giants who do not like to post players?
