What I found most intriguing about the Nigerian condition is that just about all I interacted with, including some of the abusers of the system suggest there was a country and that the cause is almost hopeless. Except for a few ‘observing good manners and not talking while at table’ the majority are scrambling for what they can corner before the ship goes down or God comes down to save the country. I did not hesitate to disagree. I have never felt better about the promise of Nigeria. But I know it will not come from wishful thinking. The call for action was a key part of summing up all the conversations I had.
